Karito Kids Review and Giveaway (Closed)

karito-kids-logoI was so incredibly excited to learn about Karito Kids.   Karito Kids is a socially responsible company which enables kids to learn about other countries and cultures at the same time empowers them to help others less fortunate.  With each product that is sold, 3% of the retail price (not profits/proceeds) is donated to one of four projects under the causes of food, home, school or health.  With each purchase you receive a code that can then be entered on the website and the kids can direct their donation to one of the four causes.Kids Give

Karito Kids products are ethnically accurate play dolls with wonderful chapter books about the character in one of six countries: USA, China, Mexico, Italy, Kenya, Australia. Karito Kids launched in the U.S. in 2007 and won the #1 Toy of the Year by Family Fun along with 20 other awards. They received national press attention on GMA, Live with Regis and Kelly, The Today Show and even on Oprah’s O list.

gia-from-italy-karito-kidsKarito Kids were so kind to send Taylor her very own doll.  She was so excited to have received the “Gia from Italy” doll. Gia is an 11-year old fashion diva helping her parents operate their pensione (family inn) in Florence, Italy. She dreams of becoming the world’s most famous fashion designer. Gia comes with her own passport and a hardbound, 136-page fiction book that includes pages from her journal describing the country she loves!taylor-and-gia

Gia and Taylor are quite the perfect match.  Taylor is the most fashion conscience 5 year old I have ever met.  The first thing Taylor noticed about Gia was her boots!  And I have to agree, they are quite stylish.

I am incredibly impressed with the quality of the doll. They are 21” poseable dolls that are hand-strung and constructed from vinyl with no phthalates added. To properly model their fashions, the dolls are constructed with a 1/3-vinyl breastplate. To ensure the much-desired “cuddle” factor, 2/3 of the torso is soft 100% cotton and polyester fill. The hair is wigged and can be washed and styled.

If you are looking for a special treat for your daughter, niece, etc., Karito Kids is definitely the way to go.
