We were recently sent a blue Munchie Mug for us to try out. I must admit that it works better than I had initially thought it would. The concept is so simple that I was sure it couldn’t work. But…it does work!
If you have an infant or toddler then you are well aware that their number one priority everyday is to see how big of a mess they can make. My children are huge fans of Goldfish and I’m sure if you looked in my car or in my house you would find some hidden in corners, under the seats, etc. I feel like I am constantly picking up those little goldfish all the time.
So I filled my little Munchie Mug with my children’s most beloved snack and hoped for the best. It was funny watching them trying to figure out how to get to the goldfish. They could see the goldfish through the mug, but my oldest son Rylan who is 3 kept trying to twist the top off. After a couple of minutes he starting poking at the cloth covering. When his finger went through the slit, he finally got it. You would have thought the child won the lottery based on his reaction.
Now Peyton on the other hand still doesn’t quite get it. He is almost 1 and he knows the goldfish are under the cloth covering but at first he was a little timid when sticking his hand in there. I think he’s finally caught on though.

What I love about the Munchie Mug is the it keeps my floors clean of goldfish and it is very simple to use. Your first step in using the Munchie Mug is of course to wash it. You can wash it by hand or place it in the top shelf of your dishwasher. Once you have washed your Munchie Mug you can dry it by pressing against both sides of the cloth with a dish towel or paper towel. Dab it a few times and it should be dry enough to use.
Now you can place the snack inside of the mug and screw on the lid. The cloth opening on the lid stays shut until your child puts his/her hand in there to get a snack. The snack will not fall out by turning the Munchie Mug upside down or even throwing the mug in my experience. Your child can safely and comfortably put his/her entire hand into the Munchie Mug to retrieve the snack. Once the snack is in hand, your child can freely pull his/her hand back through the opening. Once your child removes his/her hand the cloth opening closes by itself.
Another reason I love the Munchie Mug is that it is environmentally friendly. The Munchie Mug eliminates waste created by using plastic baggies. The Munchie Mug can be used over and over again.
If you want to store snacks that won’t be eaten right away, the Munchie Mug also comes with a solid stay fresh lid.
The Munchie Mug is proudly made in the USA. It is made of recyclable No. 5 polypropylene from American suppliers.
