Dapper Snappers Review and Giveaway (Closed)
June 29, 2009 | Filed Under Giveaways, Reviews | 50 Comments

If you’ve seen pictures of Peyton then you already know that he is a skinny mini. He is also very tall for his age. When you put these two things together, it makes it very difficult to find a pair of pants that are long enough but that still fit around his waist too. So far I have been unsuccessful in finding a pair! So I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when I heard about Dapper Snappers.
Dapper Snappers were invented by Mamapreneur, Michelle Cazella. Michelle is a mother of two skinny toddlers and a stay at home mom who lives in Oregon. The inspiration behind Dapper Snappers is of course her skinny boys and the inability to find something that would hold up their drawers.
Dapper Snappers consists of a short piece of suspender elastic with snaps that fit through the 3 back belt loops of your child’s pants and snaps over the outer 2 loops to cinch the pants thereby keeping them from falling down. The Dapper Snapper is recommended for ages 9 months – 5 years old and one size fits all. It is adjustable to 4 sizes.
With the use of the Dapper Snapper you will no longer need pants with an elastic waistline or those with an adjustable waistband. It will not need to be removed for diaper changes and will not interfere with potty training.
Michelle sent us a black Dapper Snappers and I’m very pleased at how well it works. Peyton needs a size 18 month pant to fit his length but the waist is just huge on him so the Dapper Snappers are a great affordable solution. I love that I can use it on any pair of shorts or pants that have belt loops. I simply just have to buy one and use it on multiple pieces.
I also appreciate that every component of the Dapper Snapper and its packaging is made here in the USA! Michelle imports nothing and even the staples on the packaging are made in the USA.
The Dapper Snappers are available in many colors. You can probably find one to match almost any outfit!
Buy It:
You can purchase Dapper Snappers at few retail outlets around the US or you can purchase directly from Toddler Tech USA. Single Original and Custom Dapper Snappers retail at $8.95 or you can purchase a set of three for $23.95.

Michelle has graciously offered one Simply Being Mommy reader their choice of 2 Dapper Snappers.

My husband and I frequently eat Nature Valley Granola Bars, so when I was asked to review the Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters I happily obliged.
We received 4 bags of Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters, one in each variety of flavors. The flavors are: Nut Lovers, Roasted Almond, Roasted Cashew and Honey Roasted Peanut.
Natural Valley Granola Nut Clusters are a new bite-sized snack that is 100% natural. The lightly sweet and lightly salty snack comes packaged in a resealable pouch for freshness.

While I liked all 4 flavors, my personal favorite is the Roasted Almond. My children even enjoyed these tasty little snacks. I will definetly be adding these to our grocery lists.

Precious Moments Precious Girls Club Review and Giveaway (Closed)
June 28, 2009 | Filed Under Giveaways, Reviews | 104 Comments

When I think about Precious Moments, I think of all the little figurines my cousin used to collect when we were little. She had such an obsession with anything Precious Moments.
Precious Moments is so much more than that though. Taylor and I were sent a book and a plush toy from the Precious Moments Precious Girls Club. To be honest, I had no idea there was a Precious Girls Club.

About the book:
Precious Girls Club: Operation Kindness is the second book in the series. Katie and the Precious Girls Club want to go to the Shine Community Hospital and help cheer up all the children who are sad and have to stay at the hospital. But, convincing the president of the hospital proves to be challenging.
My daughter Taylor just turned six, so she is at the age where she is really starting to understand all the different feelings we face as we grow up. This book is a perfect example of kindness and perseverance.
The Precious Girls Club is based on an all new book series for girls that revolves around the life of Katie Bennett and a diverse group of her friends. Their world is brought to life not only through books, but also through a state-of-the-art virtual world where girls can learn and play in a safe, wholesome environment based on the values embraced by Precious Moments.
Precious Girls Club has an interactive website where you can play games and earn virtue points. There is also a Parent’s section where you can learn what the site is all about.

I think the Precious Girls Club is great because it deals with the typical things we face as we grow up. But what matters is how we handle those emotions and feelings. I highly recommend that you log into Precious Girls Club and take a look around for yourself. I think both you and your daughters/granddaughters will enjoy it.
Giveaway:
I have a Precious Girls Club Prize Pack to giveaway to one lucky Simply Being Mommy reader. The prize pack contains: Precious Girls Club: Operation Kindness book, a Plush Paws Cat that includes a web access code, and some web access codes to use at Precious Girls Club.
How To Enter:
Head on over to Precious Girls Club and in a comment, let me know your favorite part of the site.

Do You Buy Designer?
June 26, 2009 | Filed Under Shopping | Leave a Comment
Although Summer has just started, I’m already starting to look for school clothes for Taylor. I usually buy off season so that I can afford some of the designer clothing that Taylor likes.
While browsing the internet I came across Lou Lou’s Corner. It is a very quaint little boutique that carries designer baby clothes, adult clothing, books, toys and so much more.
I found some really awesome sale prices, but this has to be one of my favorites. This really cute Jellycat My Frog Book would go over really well at my house. My son’s love frogs and I know they would be thrilled to have it. And it would match their designer froggy room.

Being the frugal mommy that I am, I’m always buying from the clearance racks. Hardly ever will you see me shopping on a non sale rack. I also found this really cute Appaman long sleeve tee for Taylor to wear next Fall. When you buy off season, you really get the most bang for your buck.

And just for thrills, look at this Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw. Yes, I saw the price tag and no, I won’t be getting it. But doesn’t that look heavenly! I can picture myself sitting on the couch snuggled with this throw with my cup of coffee watching Dirty Dancing.

You can pretty much find something for the whole family, including the dog. You will also receive FREE shipping on any order of $65.00 or more.
Are you are frugal shopper? Where do you find your best deals? I would love to hear about all your great designer finds!!
