I was recently contacted by the folks over at ecostore USA to see if I would like to review a couple of their products. I immediately jumped at the chance to try the Laundry Liquid and Hypoallergenic Pet Shampoo.
ecostore NZ was founded by Melanie and Malcolm Rands more than 15 years ago. They started the company in their home in an eco village in New Zealand. ecostore USA is an extension of ecostore NZ.
I’m constantly trying to find ways to live “greener” but with the higher prices of the natural and organic products, most of the time I have to settle for the normal, non organic counterpart. I received the ecostore USA Laundry Liquid to test out and I’m quite pleased with the results.
As you know from reading my other reviews, I’m a scent fanatic. So what’s the first thing I noticed? The clean minty aroma of the liquid. It is so unique and unlike any other detergent I have used.
It is made using 100% Certified Organic Eucalyptus oil and plant-based ingredients so it doesn’t leave a chemical residue like conventional laundry liquids often do.
Because it is certified organic, it is safe for children’s clothing or bedding. You can feel confident knowing that you are keeping your children safe from chemicals in your laundry detergent.
I will say that the Laundry Liquid does not come with a measuring cup. I found that a bit inconvienent because I had to end up using a measuring spoon out of my kitchen. I think that it would be perfect if they included a recyclable measuring spoon.
The Laundry Liquid retails for $11.00 for a 33.8 ounce bottle. You only need 3-5 tablespoons per wash, so a little goes a long way.
I also received the Hypo-Allergenic Pet Shampoo to try on my little Dachshund. It can be used on dogs, puppies, cats and kittens over 6 weeks of age and it is mild enough for frequent use.
The first thing I noticed was that it was much thinner than my normal pet shampoo that I use. My first thoughts were that I was going to have to use a ton of it just to wash my little Dachshund. As I started to massage it over his coat, it really developed a good lather. And again, I realized that just a little bit goes a long way.
Another thing that I really liked was the scent of the shampoo. It has a very nice subtle scent that doesn’t smell chemically or overpowering.
This Soothing Hypoallergenic Pet Shampoo is gentle on itchy, sensitive skin and will not irritate your pet. The shampoo is designed to penetrate safely right down into the skin where it will be most effective.
The Soothing Hypoallergenic Pet Shampoo retails for $13.00 for a 12 oz bottle.
