SafetyTat Review and Giveaway (Closed)

Have you ever been out and about with your children at a grocery store or mall and then all of sudden you can’t find one of them? I can’t imagine the terror that runs through a parent’s mind at that point. Thank goodness it has never happened to me, but if it does happen in the future I have this really cool product from SafetyTat.
I received a sample pack of the Quick Stick Write-On! “tattoos”. I got a pack for the boys and a pack for my daughter.

The Quick Stick Write-On! is made with SafetyTat, LLC’s proprietary tattoo material, Tateck(TM), which is a super durable, hypoallergenic skin safe tattoo sticker. It is waterproof and will adhere to your child’s skin for up to two weeks. That’s pretty impressive stuff if you ask me.
When I think about children’s tattoos, it usually involves a wet washcloth. Not with SafetyTat Quick Stick Write-On! tattoos! It was very easy to apply to my children’s skin and didn’t take long at all. All you have to do is stick the “tattoo” on your child’s skin and hold down for about 20 seconds and your “tattoo” is done! Once the tattoo is applied, you can write your contact number on the adhesive with the marker that is included with your order.
My children loved the idea of having a “tattoo” because mommy and daddy have tattoos. (Shh, don’t tell anyone) What I find very amazing about this product is that when its on, it stays on. Through sweat, swimming, wrestling playing, it stayed on. I though when I went to remove it that there would be a mild case of screaming, but much to my surprise it came off very easily, much like a band-aid. I placed the “tattoo” on the underside of my son’s arm, so there wasn’t much hair to pull and it came right off.
Aside from the “If lost, please call tattoos”, there are many other styles to choose from including the “Allergy Alert tattoo” Quick Stick Write-On!.
How SafetyTat was invented:
SafetyTat was born of necessity one weekend at an amusement park. On Labor Day Weekend, Michele and her husband, there with their three small children, felt out-numbered. To stave her panic, she quickly wrote her mobile phone number on each of their arms with a ballpoint pen. As she did this, she thoughtfully explained to each of them the importance of staying close to Mommy and Daddy. She also told them that if they were separated that the number on their arm was a way to reconnect with them. Throughout the day of fun, Michele had to rewrite the number several times as it smeared or washed off. Several parents in the park, stopped her to ask if that was her number on the kids’ arms. Each time, they loved the idea. The day was a success and the idea for SafetyTat was born.
SafetyTat has been the recipient of many awards. They received the The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval in 2009, Two iParenting Media Awards, and have been featured in many magazines and online sources.
