Big Eye Dummies Review and Giveaway (Closed)

When I heard the name of this doll company, I was quite intrigued and set out to find out more about them.  Big Eye Dummies website is very colorful and loud and will surely make you laugh.

Big Eye Dummies are designer plush dolls that come with two sets of interchangeable eyes and mouths.  One set of eyes and mouths are gently sewn on so you will need to cut the threads off when you receive it and then you can begin to mix and match the crazy, funny, interchangeable eyes and mouths.

Big Eye Dummies are designed and created in New York City by David Lipson. David is a professional Animated Producer and Director who has worked on TV shows such as Word World (which we love by the way) and Sesame Street! Here is a little from David about his creation:

“Big Eye Dummies offer several major innovations to the plush doll market, such as using high quality thread to hold them together instead of staples or nails. Another breakthrough was filling them with fluffy soft stuffing instead of rocks or bricks. Focus testing has shown that these improvements seem to really enhance the ‘cuddle and snuggle’ factor for children.”

The kind folks over at Big Eye Dummies sent us the crazy, spotted Ms. Slicka.  She is a purple spotted comedian that stands about 12 inches tall.  She comes with bloodshot swirly eyes and a mouth with the tongue sticking up and giant pupil eyes with a wide grin mouth.

All of my children enjoy playing with Slicka, at the same time.  We’ve had a few major meltdowns but we are okay.  The children like that they can mix and match the different eyes and mouths for different looks.

I do have one mommy suggestion because my children seem to lose any piece of a toy that is not connected or if they don’t have a proper place to store the pieces.  I think it would be really cool to make a pouch inside of the doll to store the extra pieces.

Slicka is only one of the six Big Eye Dummies.  There are five other plush dolls that are as bright and colorful as Slicka!

Big Eye Dummies are recommended for children aged 2 and older. My three year old and six year old both love playing with Slicka! If you notice in my daughter’s pic, you can see my one year old trying to grab Slicka out of her hands. Slicka was a hit with everyone.
