My favorite thing about eating out at any Chinese restaurant is the fortune cookie I get at the end of my meal. I usually get either General Tso’s Chicken or Shredded Pork, both of which have a slight bit of heat to them, so the fortune cookie usually helps my mouth cool down.
When I heard about Fancy Fortune Cookies I knew I needed wanted to try all the exciting flavors! Mike Fry, founder and flavor guru of Fancy Fortune Cookies has a very interesting story. Before starting his fortune cookie business, he was a clown in the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey circus! How cool is that? Not only did he leave the circus, he also set aside his own children’s TV show that had some of the highest ratings of any children’s TV show in the midwest.
He spent two years experimenting and creating thousands of not so good looking fortune cookies but he finally got it right. Since 1987, he has created 17 different flavors that he sells to restaurants and businesses across the US. Fancy Fortune Cookies are available for any occasion because you can personalize your cookies to fit your event. Some ideas would be birthdays, weddings or even fundraisers!
I was very fortunate to be able to work with Fancy Fortune Cookies and we received a variety sample box full of different flavors of their famous fortune cookies.

When we received our box, we could not wait to dig in and try all the different flavors. Since we already love the original fortune cookie, adding a little bit of flavor is a bonus for us. We received these flavors: Orange, Cherry, Lemon, Raspberry and Cappucino. You should have seen us all huddled in the living room opening and trying all these amazing fortune cookies!
I found the fortune cookies were not overly flavored but instead just like a regular fortune cookie with a hint of flavor. We all liked each flavor and found the colors to be bright and fun! My favorite was the orange. I’m not usually big on citrus flavors and fully expected not to like it, but surprisingly I did.
Not only do we love Fancy Fortune Cookies, so does Oprah who has chose Fancy Fortune Cookies twice!! And what did Jennifer Love-Hewitt send to her A-list celebrity friends for Christmas last year? You guessed it, Chocolate Dipped Fancy Fortune Cookies!
