drive scrubberI have had an older computer sitting in my house for about 4 years that I’ve been meaning to donate.  I know there is personal information stored on it and I’m scared to donate it to just anybody, so instead it sits in a closet.  I was recently contacted by iolo technologiesicon to see if I had any interest in trying out DriveScrubbericon.  How did they know I had this old computer that was just sitting here taking up space?

I received my complimentary copy of DriveScrubbericon a couple of weeks ago but just haven’t had the time to sit down and devote to testing it out on our old computer until now. We are really trying to clean out some clutter so I decided to start with the computer.

I’m not really a technically savvy mommy so I was a little nervous how the process would go, but much to my surprise the process was pretty easy. I inserted the installation CD which is also a boot CD into the CD drive and restarted my computer. It is as easy as following the on-screen instructions to begin the process of wiping the system clean. You have 3 options when using DriveScrubbericon. You can wipe the entire drive clean, wipe just the free space or completely clean a drive damaged by spyware or viruses. Since I’m getting rid of this computer I just wiped the whole thing clean and now its donation ready!

I’m sure many assume that when they delete something from their computer that the information is gone and no longer exists. The truth is that the private information still exists and it only takes basic knowledge of PC’s for someone to get a hold of personal information. DriveScrubbericon exceeds all government and military standards and protects you from even the most advanced recovery techniques.

It did take awhile for DriveScrubber to finish working but I’m sure that has something to do with my ancient computer.

Buy It:

DriveScrubbericon is available for purchase at a discounted price of $19.95, regularly $29.95. I’m not sure how long this sale will last, so if you are really wanting to snag it at this low price buy it today.
