Learning Curve Touch & Learn Super Duper Computer Review
October 29, 2009 | Filed Under Reviews | 8 Comments

My oldest son Rylan who is all of 3, is an all-out gamer. He loves playing the Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii and especially his sister’s Nintendo DS. He has recently started showing interest in computers. He is constantly trying to sneak on my laptop that is usually on the dining room table. I’ve let him play with the laptop a couple of times, but with him being so young it really makes me nervous.
I was recently contacted and asked if I would like to do a review of the Learning Curve Touch & Learn Super Duper Computer and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity for Rylan.

We received our Learning Curve Touch & Learn Super Duper Computer a couple of weeks ago and it quickly became the toy we couldn’t leave the house without. Rylan has brought it to doctor appointments, to the school when we pick up big sister, to church, etc. He brings it everywhere.
The Learning Curve Touch & Learn Super Duper Computer is recommended for children ages 3 and older. It features an interactive touch screen and is loaded with adventures of your child’s favorite Super Why characters. With more than 35 fun-filled learning games, the Learning Curve Touch & Learn Super Duper Computer helps to teach your child:
- Alphabet Skills
- Rhyming
- Spelling
- Reading Comprehension
- Letter Sounds
- Fine and Gross Motor Skills
- Word Families
- Phonics
- Problem Solving
When beginning to play your child will need to select a Super Why character. Each character has curriculum based games that come in three levels of difficulty: easy, medium and hard. If your child is 3 and just learning letters I would let them play on easy. The last thing you want is your child getting frustrated because they don’t understand. If you find that easy isn’t challenging enough, then you can find which level is best suited for your child.
Rylan likes playing on easy. Once your child has chosen the difficulty level they will need to touch the screen or use the arrow keys to scroll through the games to see which game they want to play. Once they have found the game, they can either touch the screen or press “enter” to begin playing.
I really like the Touch & Learn Super Duper Computer and so does Rylan. He feels really important because as he says, he has a “laptop like mommy”. Sometimes when I’m working on my laptop at the kitchen table, he will bring his and “work” with me.
As a mommy, I appreciate any toy that offers a learning experience. As Rylan is playing on the Touch & Learn Super Duper Computer, he is also learning.
Buy It:
Learning Curve Touch & Learn Super Duper Computer is available for purchase at many retailers where toys are sold for a suggested retail price of $34.99.

That sounds like a fabulous game errr… learning tool.
I love what a great price it is at – Very reasonable and with the economy, we need to be careful what we spend!
Thanks for the great review.

That sounds perfect for my little guy, too. He’s always trying to use my “compeeter” and we’re working hard to teach him letter recognition.
Thanks for the review. I’ll have to look into this for a Christmas gift.

Great Review!! This would be perfect for my nephew. I was just wondering what I can get him as a christmas gift. Now that I’ve seen this, I have a great option. My sis will really thank me as he is always trying to get on her computer.
This might sole some of her problems, lol.
Thanks again.

I love toys that combine the electronics kids can’t get enough of with educational content:)

Thanks for the review! This makes a great alternative to most video games, which frankly don’t have much educational value. I love to see all of these new tools for teaching and learning — they’re a wonderful way for parents to stay actively involved in their kids’ education!
