Growing Tree Toys Morphibians Gator Remote Control Toy Review

With Christmas right around the corner, I’m sure every parent is already thinking and dreading the Christmas shopping season.  I know I am.  When it was just one child I was buying for, it was a lot easier.  Buying for three children is much harder.

Growing Tree Toys contacted me about doing a review of their educational toys and I immediately jumped at the chance.  I want Christmas shopping to be easier on everyone and its nice to know what toys work and which toys don’t.

Growing Tree Toys sent us the Morphibians Gator Remote Control Toy for review.  I chose this toy because I have two boys who love to play with cars.  My oldest boy Rylan has been asking for a remote control car but I hadn’t bought him one yet because I was not sure if he would really enjoy it.  Boy was I wrong.  Rylan and Peyton really like the Morphibians Gator Remote Control Toy.

The Morphibians Gator Remote Control Toy is a very cool toy.  Not only can you play with it on land, you can play with it in the water too.  I’ve never seen a remote control toy like this one.  It is made to look like an alligator and the powerful 4 x 4 morphibian will tear up anything in its path. The lights also light up which makes it look even cooler, especially when playing with it at night.

Here is a little more about it from the website:

The Morphibians Gator is the powerful, 4 wheel drive remote control car that looks like an alligator with a cool new metallic skin as it drives through ponds and pools, but this Morphibians Gator can drive onto land to “eat up” anything in its way! With a fully functional radio control, the Morphibians Gator Remote Control Toy now also features headlights that help light the way, making this remote control toy ready to perform anywhere. Get ready to drive this green gator machine wherever you can dream!

The Morphibians Gator Remote Control Toy is a great educational toy for helping children learn eye/hand coordination. In addition, it also keeps children up and moving and helps improve both their gross and fine motor skills. This toy also allows them to experience and learn to enjoy independent play. I love watching my three children play together, but I also want for each one of them to be independent and not depend on anyone else for self satisfaction and enjoyment.

Morphibians Gator Remote Control Toy is recommended for children 5 years of age or older. Although Rylan is only 3 (will be 4 in February) he does a pretty good job with the controller. It is a little bit difficult to get at first, but with practice it gets easier. I played with it for about 5 minutes or so, before it was taken away, and I was just getting the hang of it. Rylan got aggravated at first but within a few minutes he was able to control it a little bit better.

We live on two acres and pretty much have all types of terrain.  We have a concrete driveway, a rock driveway on the other side of our property, grass, dirt, and mud puddles.  The Morphibians Gator Remote Control Toy can handle it all.

This is one of those toys that you will want to take out of the package before wrapping. You will need to place batteries in the controller and the morphibian. You will also need a small phillips head screwdriver. Don’t be like me running around trying to find a screwdriver while the children are waiting impatiently.

Overall I think this would be a great gift because while it offers hours of fun, it also offers an educational value.
