Laundry Will Never Be The Same!

Almost four months ago I wrote a post about the Electrolux and Kelly Ripa “Text-a-Thon for a Cause” campaign that I learned about through my affiliation with MomSelect. I wrote the post because I wanted others to know about the campaign and hopefully help raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
About a month later, much to my surprise, I received an email message from MomSelect letting me know that I had won a brand new Elextrolux Washer and Dryer for my participation in the campaign. I seriously had to read the email several times to make sure that my eyes were not deceiving me. I kept thinking to myself that this couldn’t be true and I even called my mom and husband to make sure that I had understood the email correctly. They assured me that I had, and that I had won a new washer and dryer!
After filling out all the required paperwork, I knew that it could take about 8 weeks for them to arrive. On December 9th, they arrived!
I live in an older house that has been updated, but when the previous owners updated I guess they didn’t think a laundry room inside was a necessity. Our laundry room is attached to our house but you have to go outside to have access to it. At first I was worried about how I was going to get these to fit in there. They are front-loading and there was no way that they would both fit so that the doors would open. After taking a few measurements and doing a few minutes of research on the Electrolux website, we determined that they would fit snugly in the room if we stacked them.
My dad and hubby spent this past Saturday installing my new toys. They had to chisel through brick, lift the dryer on top of the washer and they did it all without complaining. I just want give a huge heartfelt thanks to MomSelect, Electrolux, my hubby and my dad! Thank you all so much!
