I’m not sure if you’ve noticed or not, but I added a new little button over there on the right sidebar. I’ve been selected along with about 15 other bloggers to be an Eucerin Skin FIRST Ambassador and I’m so excited to take part in this program. I will be sharing information about the importance of skin care and how to protect your body’s first line of defense against the sun, airborne pollutants, etc. Along with this information I will also be featuring Eucerin themed gift baskets along with other skin-healthy treats each month in a giveaway. With summer in full swing and the sun beating down on you I’d like to share this little tidbit with you. As UVB rays are the main cause of sunburns, DNA damage & skin cancer, sunscreen should always be applied when outside, especially during the hours of 10AM – 4PM when the sun’s rays are the most severe. Personally, I do great when it comes to my children, but I often neglect myself and that’s why I’m sitting here with a sunburn. Totally not smart…I know! I’m using this opportunity to help educate myself while helping you also.

Eucerin is one of the few lotions that does not have alochol in it . Alcohol promotes drying of skin. You would be surprised how many lotions have alcohol- time to read labels, I would like to try Plus Intensive Repair Body lotion.

A little bit of information for your followers. My mother just had a place cut out of her hand that was a form of skin cancer. The doctor told her that new studies show that current sun exposure WILL activate damage done 20 years ago. Which is why most senior citizens do not have skin cancer. Remember all of the times you felt like you had a first degree burn when you were younger. Think about that the next time you decide to “tan” and protect yourselves because those burns years ago can begin the skin cancer cycle today.
