Libby’s and Feeding America Getting Families Back to the Table

Last year I supported other bloggers participating in the Libby’s Virtual Canned Food Drive but this year I’m looking for your support. Did you know that one in six Americans is struggling with hunger, including millions of children. To put it quite mildy, that is totally unacceptable. That is why I’m participating in the Libby’s Virtual Canned Food Drive and I hope you will too! The Virtual Canned Food Drive raises money for Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

A little donation can go a very long way in providing for hungry families. For every $5 donation you give, it provides 35 meals for hungry families. And to top it off, for every dollar we raise Libby’s will match it, up to $40,000! Please give now and help me meet my goal of $150 so that we can fight hunger together and provide 1,050 meals!

Tomorrow I will be meeting with a few other local Houston Bloggers as well as Hannah Keely and folks from Libby’s. We will be assembling 30 kits for Houston Charity Agency with items that each blogger brings as well as items donated by Libby’s. I’m so excited and thankful for this opportunity.

One More Thing

Hannah Keeley will also be holding an in-store event at Kroger (18030 FM 529 Rd., in Cypress, TX) tomorrow, September 22 from 5-7 p.m. She will be there giving cooking demos, tips, etc. and I’m sure it will be a blast!
