Last month, the folks over at Pampers threw Mario Lopez and his wife a baby shower for the new baby. You might know Mario as A.C. Slater from Saved By the Bell, or from his most recent work on Dancing With the Stars. Can you imagine having Pampers throw your baby shower? How cool would that be? His little girl Gia Francesca was born in September and look at the proud papa!
I was invited to chat during the baby shower, but unfortunately I was unable to make it because of prior obligations. But…I do have this intimate video of Mario chatting with some fellow mommy bloggers.
I think it’s pretty awesome that Mario sat down to talk with these fantastic bloggers and that he opens up about his role as a father. And to celebrate the birth of little Gia, we have a Pampers giveaway!

The best advice I’ve received is cherish every moment they grow so fast.
Remember to teach your children as much as you can along the way…
The worst parenting advice I ever received was to let my baby “cry it out.” I never believed in this, instead believing that children (from infancy on,) need to know that you are there for them and they are not alone. My “kids” are grown and married now, and we are the proud grandparents of 2 adorable girls from my daughter and my son & his wife are expecting their first baby..another precious little girl!

The worst advice is the brandy on the sore tooth. I don’t care how well it may work, I just won’t do it!

Enjoy every second because they grow up so fast
When I was pregnant with my twins, a lady at Target asked how far along I was, I told her and she looked shocked – I told her I was pg with twins. She then said one was so hard, that I should have them and adopt ONE out and keep one. HUH? I thought she was joking, but no, she was serious. :/

the best parenting advice i ever received was to nap when the baby naps, it’s true you really need to rest!
I have recieved lots of advice but one of the better pieces was to nap when the baby is napping. although for me that was diffcult because I always felt like I had so much to do durng that time.
the best advice i received when i delivered my first child was ” drs know alot but every child is different and you will know what your child needs and when she needs it”
The best advice I have received is when you feel something is going on with your baby, dont listen to others saying aww their just growing, you know your child they dont.
The worse advice I ever received was to just let my baby cry because if I held her too much I would spoil her. Thanks for the great giveaway

I am TTC but I enjoy reading all the good and bad advice

Worst parenting advice was from my mom who told me to wear socks so my baby inside wont get cold. Uhhh that makes no sense. Plus I have hardwood floors and fell down the stairs once because she nagged me to wear socks.

The best advice I ever got was to cherish every day because soon they will be grown.
The worst advice I ever got was to let my child cry. I read a baby book that said if you give them all your needs now, then you are not spoiling them, you are making them more independent later.

the worst advice was to spank my 2 year old daughter, first of all I couldn’t imagine smacking my little girl whether it really helped or not and I don’t see how it’s going to teach someone so young to not do something–getting smacked

Best parenting advice is to sleep when your baby sleeps. I thought I’d be fine, like yeah yeah whatever. But no, get sleep at any opportunity!
