When thinking of purchasing gifts for the holidays, some people think that gifting gift cards is something you do when you don’t have much time or effort into finding something more “special”.

Here are some “special” ways to transform ordinary gift cards into personalized, one-of-a-kind presents for everyone on your list.
Bass Pro Gift Shop Gift Card – Get the kids together and make a fun outdoor activity with daddy. If the whole family is the outdoorsy type, take a family trip to the lake or pond and go fishing.
Applebee’s Gift Card – Get the kids together and have them help mom create a special “Dining Out” calendar for a special dinner night.
iTunes Gift Card – Get the whole family together and have a family dance party. If you aren’t the dancing kind, gather the family around and have a karaoke party!

To be perfectly honest with you, I’d much prefer a gift card over most traditional gifts any day — especially when people aren’t sure what to get me. What about you?

I would love either gift card. The itunes one would be nice because since my nephew was born almost three years ago, I have created a video compiled of all the video and picture taken of him each year. I add music to it to make it that more special and entertaining. I would use towards the videos. If I won the gift card, I would probably take that same sister out to eat! We haven’t had a lot of time together since her babies were born.
