My boys are very active and into all things high-tech and electronic. I’ll admit I was a bit surprised when a few years ago I noticed that some of the programs they preferred to watch on TV were not the newest animated or live action shows. They were often drawn to the classic cartoons that my husband and I watched when we were kids.
My youngest son Garrett was absolutely thrilled when we received Tom and Jerry: Pint-Sized Pals
Garrett, who is an avid animal lover, is spellbound by the antics of the frisky pair and all their cute and spunky friends. He cheers for them and howls with laughter as he watches. He has already seen the entire set several times. Gavin, my older son, is less-impressed but I will catch him getting caught up in the action when he doesn’t think anyone is watching. How can you not get caught up in the never-ending cat and mouse pursuit?
One of the things I like about this set is that the episodes are short. It’s perfect when you need something for the kids to watch in your vehicle while running errands or for a quick distraction right before bedtime. After a cartoon or two you can switch it off and there are no complaints about missing the ending.
I also like the peace of mind in knowing that the characters are family friendly and the content is age-appropriate and timeless. We can all sit down and watch together for some good old-fashioned fun!
