A day spent at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is guaranteed to be a wonderful day. Full of excitement, magic and wonder, Magic Kingdom is truly one of those places that makes everyone happy!
With so many rides, shows, character signings and restaurants at Magic Kingdom, it’s no wonder that millions of people from around the world visit the Walt Disney World Resorts each year!
I’ve been to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom many times, but I had not had the opportunity to visit since New Fantasyland opened last year. I was especially excited to see the park after the New Fantasyland expansion!
The New Fantasyland Expansion Includes…
The New Fantasyland expansion at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom includes even more Disney characters and stories in two new themed areas, the Enchanted Forest and the Storybook Circus area.
New Fantasyland Enchanted Forest Attractions and Experiences
Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid: On the Under the Sea ride, guests will enter Prince Eric’s castle, board a giant clamshell and rock out on this new musical attraction! Unfortunately, the ride was closed when we arrived, so we did not have a chance to ride it.
Be Our Guest Restaurant: While technically a quick service restaurant, Be Our Guest Restaurant is not your typical quick service establishment! There are 3 incredible dining rooms in the middle of Beast’s Castle, and the decor alone will blow you away!
It really was like being inside the Beast’s castle – complete with torn painting of the prince, elaborate chandeliers and a beautiful rotating statue representing the gift that Belle’s father gave them on their wedding day!
Enchanted Tales with Belle: You can become part of a lively retelling of the “tale as old as time,” hosted by Belle and Lumière.
Ariel’s Grotto: Take photos and get autographs with everyone’s favorite undersea princess.
Gaston’s Tavern: This manly restaurant serves up tasty tavern fare, including the delicious Lafou’s Brew!
There’s really something for everyone in the Enchanted Forest area at New Fantasyland!
The Storybook Circus area of New Fantasyland was created with the American circus spirit of the classic Disney film Dumbo in mind.
New Fantasyland Storybook Circus Attractions
The Barnstormer: Take to the sky with The Great Goofini on a spiraling stunt plane adventure high above the Storybook Circus grounds!
Dumbo The Flying Elephant: On Dumbo The Flying Elephant, you’ll soar above Storybook Circus with Dumbo on a ride that is just as fun for adults as it is for children!
Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station: On a hot Florida day, your entire family will enjoy cooling off in this circus-themed water play area! Located next to the Fantasyland Train Station, you can simply walk in and out for a quick and easy cool down!
Fantasyland Station: With multicolored circus tents, lively characters and other nods to Dumbo, Storybook Circus is designed to make you feel like you’re a part of the action!
Pete’s Silly Sideshow: Meet some popular Disney Characters inside one of the big-top tents in the Storybook Circus Area, and take home fun souvenirs!
As wonderful as New Fantasyland is, it isn’t done yet! You can look forward to a few more additions in New Fantasyland very soon!
Upon completion, New Fantasyland will almost double in size, which will be the largest expansion in the history of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park!
Future New Fantasyland Attractions
Princess Fairytale Hall: An elegant royal court is scheduled to open in 2013, and will be home to Disney princesses ready to meet their subjects for autographs and photos!
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: I am really looking forward to this one! Park visitors will find a wonderful new ride based on the classic Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!
