How to Save on Summer Travel
July 6, 2010 | Filed Under Coupons | Leave a Comment
This summer has been crazy busy for us with blogging events, family vacations and a couple weekend getaways. As I’m sure you can imagine, travel expenses can get expensive and it doesn’t take long with gas, hotels, meals, etc. I was recently introduced to MyCoupons.com, the internet’s oldest coupon, coupon code, and shopping forum related web site, and wanted to see if I could save on some of our upcoming travel plans. I was surprised to see deals and coupon codes for all things related to travel.
As I was searching for travel related deals, I noticed that there were 118 current deals to help you save money while traveling. A feature that I like about the site is you can see how many people “liked” the offer and you can also see comments left by other members of the site. For example, I was looking at a hotels.com deal that would save me $20 if I booked 3 nights. I would think that it would be $20 of your bill, however after reading the comments left I learned that it was a rebate form instead. I’d rather just save the money upfront rather than having to submit my rebate and then wait for it to arrive.
Not only can you find deals on travel but MyCoupons.com is packed with money-saving opportunities. Make sure to “like” them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter for the latest deals delivered straight to you!

I like seeing the coupons that will be in the Sunday paper before I buy so that I can determine how many papers I’ll get for the week. If there is a good amount of coupons that I will use, I usually buy 5 papers. If there not many, then I’ll usually just buy a couple. You can check out Sunday Coupon Preview for a sneak peek at Sunday’s coupons.

Sometimes Moms Need a Break too!
May 20, 2010 | Filed Under Coupons | 3 Comments
For me, there are days when I feel like doing absolutely nothing. That obviously is not an option since I have a job, a husband, 3 kids, a blog, a house and a dog. I don’t have the luxury of hiring somebody to take care of things for me, but with Groupon I can get discounts when mommy needs a break.
Groupon was launched in November of 2008 and features a daily deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in a variety of cities across the United States. You will receive a daily email with an amazing offer for an establishment in your area. Give it a shot and see how you like it. The service itself is free, so the only money your out is if you decided to actually purchase an amazing Groupon.

I also noticed that you can combine a manufacturers coupon with a H-E-B coupon. Not sure if this is something new or not, but I like being able to stack coupons!

Groupon was launched in November of 2008 and features a daily deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in a variety of cities across the United States. You will receive a daily email with an amazing offer for an establishment in your area. Today in Houston, the Groupon was for $20 off your $45 order at an Italian restaurant in the area. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
Give it a shot and see how you like it. The service itself is free, so the only money your out is if you decided to actually purchase an amazing Groupon.
