Over the last almost three years, I’ve spent countless hours with the winner notification process.  As it stands now, I moderate comments deleting all that come in past the deadline, use random.org to choose a winner, verify the winner, take a screenshot, upload the image to my server, post the winners on the blog with the screenshot and send the winner an email.

Are you tired yet, because I am!  For 2012, that’s not gonna happen.  I’m going to streamline the process just a bit to save myself much needed time and sanity.

I will still be moderating comments and deleting comments that come in after the deadline.  I will still be using random.org to choose a winner.  I will still be verifying the entry and the winner and I will still be sending an email.  I will not however be taking screenshots of the winners number, saving them to my computer, uploading them to my server and making a blog post dedicated to giveaway winners.  Instead, I will have a giveaway winners page that will be accessible from the navigation bar and will update that one post each time a winner is selected.

With all of my obligations with work, children, church, etc. I just don’t have the time and energy anymore.  You can still be assured that all winners will still receive an email notifying them of their win.  Please be sure to add crystal (@) simplybeingmommy (dot) com to your safe sender list so that my emails come to your inbox and not your spam folder.
