I’m teaming up with 1-800-FLOWERS.com on their mission to spread smiles across the nation.  The emphasis is to encourage everyone to brighten someone’s day with thoughtful gifts and flowers, therefore calling it the “Summer of Smiles.”  I was given the opportunity to participate in this campaign and decided to send my mom a smile with the Martha Stewart Sweet Pink Rose and Ivy arrangement.  It’s not normally something I would send, but once I saw it, I loved the combination of the Ivy and Pink Roses.

I had it delivered to her office with a nice little card, but I forgot to include my name.  Silly me…right?  She called my dad thinking maybe he sent it, and when she found out he didn’t I’m sure she was a bit confused.  They finally asked me if I was the one who sent them and the mystery was solved.

Since the flowers were delivered to her office, I had her take some pictures with her iPhone so I could see how they arrived.

Although they didn’t arrive looking like the picture, I think they are still so elegant and pretty. The blooming light pink rose signifies elegance and grace, while the stylish collar of variegated ivy is a symbol of friendship and a strong relationship. After reading what each part of the arrangement signified, I knew it was the perfect choice for my mother.  I’m pretty sure that I brightened her day and made her smile…at least I hope I did.

    Hi on this super fine and rainy Sunday! 🙂 Well, there sure isn’t anything wrong with a classic, and since getting roses (my fav) is such a rare occurrence, I would definitely go with Two Dozen Premium Long Stem Red Roses 🙂 All for me! LOL 🙂

    I honestly have a couple of DOZEN favorites (!) – depending on both the occasion and who the flowers are for!

    My Good Friend in Maine is very much on my mind these days, and I think she’d really love the charming “Just Dandy Gift Set”
