All Day Fun with the Chuggington Wooden Railway Set

Just in case you don’t already know, my children love Chuggington. Right now, my littlest little guy is playing with the Chuggington Wooden Railway Double-Decker Roundhouse and he is having an absolute blast. I love hearing him with all his “Chugga Chugga Chugga” and “Choo Choo”.  He’s using his imagination and it couldn’t be any cuter!

As part of my participation as a Chuggington Conductor, on a monthly basis I receive the latest and greatest Chuggington Products to review here at home with my group of little chuggers. It’s pretty traintastic, if I do say so myself. This month we received the horn honkin’ Chuggington Wooden Railway set, and it has been a crowd pleaser.

I used to think that I was a pretty good puzzle solver, but since I’ve been a Chuggington Conductor and challenged with the train sets, I’ve realized that either I’ve lost my touch or I was never really that good in the first place. I always recruit the help of my husband and he gets the train sets setup fairly quickly so that the kids nagging is minimal. And I must say, he always does a traintastic job!

The above pictures include these Chuggington Wooden Railway Sets — Double-Decker Roundhouse, Over and Under Starter Set, Track Pack and Elevated Track Pack. We used all but just a few pieces while putting together all the sets. The best part is you and your children can use your imaginations to come up with something different each time.

The Chuggington Wooden Railway features brightly colored engines and all the train sets are constructed using high-quality wood.  I found that there were some pros and cons with the wooden set.  While it holds up better than it’s plastic counterpart, I found that the wood tracks separated easier than the plastic tracks.  My boys are young and aren’t very gentle, so as they are pushing (a little too hard) the engines around the track, the elevated pieces almost always fall.  Until they are a bit older, we are going to hide those pieces.  It’s less frustration for us all.

As always, we are having a blast with the Chuggington Wooden Railway sets and I love how it encourages my children to use their imagination and how fun it can be to work and play together.

    My son enjoys trains in general, but Chuggington particularly. We purchased a plain wooden set for him for Christmas and he has been using green, red, and blue blocks as Koko, Wilson, and Brewster. He will be so excited to play with the real thing. And I’m so excited that it will fit into his existing playset!
