As a Chuggington Conductor, I have the opportunity to review the newest releases from Chuggington.  If your children are as big of Chuggington fans as mine are, then you definitely want to read this entire post and check out the Chuggington Wooden Train Table.

My children have quite a few Chuggington track sets, but the one thing that we’ve been needing is a table to put all these tracks on. We recently received the Chuggington Wooden Train Table which can be used with the Wooden Chuggington track sets.

chuggington train tableMy husband put the table together in about 30 minutes.  He just used a screwdriver, but I highly recommend you use a drill.  It should make assembly time less and the children will thank you, I’m sure.

As you can see from the picture the table is fairly large.  It’s almost the perfect height for my tall three year old son and it offers a large playing area.  If you live in a small home or apartment, this may not be your best option.  I live in a medium size home and I still had trouble finding a spot for it – it’s huge (49.50″ x 33.50″ x 17.50″).

This full-sized wooden train table is skillfully decorated with Chuggington graphics on all sides. You can find the Chuggington Engines on both sides of the table and the colorful play surface lets your children’s imagination take them to the world of Chuggington.  And as you can see from the pictures, the colors are bold, fun and vibrant.

We also had the opportunity to try out the Chugger Championship Rev’n Race Railway Deluxe Playset.  This is the newest track we added to our collection and it is by far the track that requires the most interaction.

I’m not sure if my children are just too young or if there is a flaw in the design, but this is the only Chuggington product that has frustrated my children to tears.  What makes this set different from other sets is that it requires no batteries and it is powered by the children.  That is where it gets frustrating.  To get the engines to zoom through the track, you have to turn a lever with one hand and try to hold the track steady with another.  While my eight year old daughter was more successful than my three and five year olds, she had trouble as well.  The track kept sliding all over the table, the engines would get stuck and it was just a mess. However, with the help of daddy my oldest was able to complete a race.

We have a huge collection of Chuggington tracks and this is the only set we’ve had trouble with. I’m hoping this problem is just contained to the unit we have.

My children love having the Chuggington Wooden Train Table and I like them having a place where they can play that’s easily accessible and sturdy.  While the table isn’t designed for the weight of children, I have walked in their room a few times to see them either sitting or standing on it.  So far, so good.  The table is still standing strong.

    Kyle loves trains and he watches Chuggington every chance he gets. We haves few die cast trains and now he is wanting remote control toys 🙂 but I’m sure he would like the table too!

    OH no! I can’t believe it I could NOT enter that website!!!! I mean,I’m using IE9, but with XP. Is this the end of XP’s usefulness?????? I can’t tell you what else I would enjoy- but I know anything from Chuggington would be loved by my grandsons.

    Oh my goodness, my three year old would flip if I won this. They LOVE trains and he LOVES Chuggington. He watches Chugg Chugg that I DVR for him after school every day. We also like the Repair Shed and Hodge.
