Style Lab Makeover for Nintendo DS Review

My daughter is the ultimate girly-girl and loves to play dress-up and makeover all her baby dolls. When I was contacted to see if I wanted to do a review of Style Lab: Makeover for the Nintendo DS, I pretty much knew that Taylor would get a kick out of it.

Style Lab: Makeover is compatible with both the Nintendo DS and DSi. If you have the DSi, you can take your very own picture and use it to create your own face in the game. Even if you don’t have the DSi I found the game to be enjoyable with the regular DS.

When you first start the game you get to create your own character. As you progress through the game you can complete challenges to earn gifts and money to use while shopping to add to your collections. The further you advance in the game, the more advanced the challenges get.

While there really isn’t a learning value to this game, it does pack some heavy entertainment for those who like designing, makeup and creativity.  The stylus is used throughout the game as many different styling applicators and tools. You can re-create a style shown by using the same colors and techniques or you can let your imagination run wild and create your own magical look.
