As I’ve mentioned several times before, I am a big fan of snack foods. My waistline however, is not! I’m constantly checking labels trying to figure out what is good for me and what isn’t and when it comes to snack foods, there isn’t much of that on the market. I was recently sent a huge box full of FoodShouldTasteGood chips in a variety of flavors for review and if good for you chips taste this good, why are companies making chips that aren’t so good for you?
We had Peyton’s birthday party this past weekend so I decided to see what everyone thought of these chips. Everyone was so excited to be a part of the review process and they had plenty of things to say. I wish I would have recorded all of us because I’m sure y’all would have found it hilarious. There was a bunch of oooohhhs and aaaahhhhs, that is for sure!
With this incredible line up of chips, there has to be something for every taste bud. My personal favorites are the Olive, Sweet Potato and Lime. My mother-in-law can not stop talking about the Chocolate and my husband really likes the Cheddar. The general consensus at the party was that all the varieties we received for review were simply amazing.
FoodShouldTasteGood chips are made from the highest quality, all-natural ingredients baked into the chips. You can actually see olive bits in the Olive chips. All chip varieties are gluten free, cholesterol free, and free from trans fat and they do not use any genetically modified ingredients (GMOs). In addition, they are also certified Kosher OU-D. They are lower in sodium than your average chip – because these chips aren’t average – and are also a good source of dietary fiber.
Here is a little about the history of FoodShouldTasteGood:
CEO and founder Pete Lescoe created FoodShouldTasteGood in 2006 with the goal of making a unique new snack with great taste, healthy ingredients, and sophisticated flavor—the qualities he is most passionate about in food. Based in Needham Heights, Massachusetts, FoodShouldTasteGood is a quickly growing company that maintains the values of its entrepreneurial roots.
Chips are available in 13 unique varieties and on each bag you will find recommended accompaniments. Right now as I’m eating the Chocolate chips, the bag suggests that I try it with peanut butter and banana slices or gently heated ice cream or even salsa. I’m thinking I may like the sweet and spicy combo.
I’ve truly enjoyed reviewing FoodShouldTasteGood chips. They are quite unique and the flavors are spot on. The Olive chips taste like olives, the Jalapeno chips taste like jalapenos, etc. They are a little expensive for my liking but I did notice a coupon in the Sunday paper this week!
Buy:
FoodShouldTasteGood chips are available at fine grocers nationwide, including Whole Foods, and other gourmet and natural food markets.
