My little guy has had tummy problems from very early on. We’ve tried eliminating certain foods and adding high fiber foods to his diet, but it seems like no matter what we try, he still suffers from the more than occasional backup.
We were recently given the opportunity to try Culturelle for Kids and we’ve been using it for the past few weeks. Culturelle is different from other probiotics because it contains Lactobacillus GG to help aide in your child’s digestion. Lactobacillus GG is the most clinically studied probiotic and Culturelle is the number one pediatrician recommended brand giving parents a probiotic for children.
Culturelle for Kids’ is a tasteless and odorless powder that mixes really easily with both cool liquids and soft foods. We use it in his chocolate milk in the mornings and he hasn’t noticed any difference. If your child is allergic to dairy or gluten, Culturelle for Kids is one of a very few that is 100% dairy and gluten free.
I wish I could tell you that I noticed a huge difference, but unfortunately I did not. I have noticed however that he hasn’t been complaining of tummy aches as often but his constipation issues still seem about the same. We will continue using Culturelle for a little while longer to see if it just needs a little extra time to start working in his little system.

Wow, probiotics are all the rage! Even for kids! Great review. Very interesting. 🙂

We love Culturelle. I love when Walgreens has B1G1 free deals. We started buying it when our vet recommended it for our dog!

We love Culturelle. We both use it and I give the kids theirs daily. Have you tried Fiber Gummies for your little guy? They have helped Zoe tremendously. Hope his tummy gets better.
Crystal says
We haven’t Nichol, but I’ll definitely look into it.

Aww poor kid! My son is the same way and unfortunately nothing has worked for him either. I would love it if you could keep me updated on your sons progress and if it changes-we may give it a try!
I hope it works and he gets to feeling better, there is nothing worse than knowing there is nothing you can do to relieve their aches;(

I tried this for a little while for myself, but it’s hard to say if it worked or not because I wasn’t really having trouble before. Hope your little one gets some relief soon.

These are a must for my son (7.5 months) who also has had a lot of tummy issues. I HIGHLY recomment Culturelle as well!!!

I started giving my daughter probiotics when she was on antibiotics and I think it really helped with the usual diaper rash. I’m pretty sure I’m going to keep her on it year round now that I’ve seen it perform so beautifully!

Hopefully it starts kicking in. Thankfully it has helped some, though!

We have been on the probiotic bandwagon for about three years. I swear by taking mine every day.
When my son was little, around 6, he was alwasy “stopped” up.
The sisters at the monastery where I was working, gave me their secret recipe for “max-lax”.
One teaspoon for my little guy each morning for about 3 days and he was good to go. 😉 he,he
1 cup pureed prunes, 2 tsp senna, 1/4 cup apple juice, 1/4 cup finely ground flax seed, 2tbs maple syrup, 1 tbs wheat germ.
Blend it all up, and it lasts about 5 days in fridge. It actually tastes sort of good.:)
Check with your Doctor, of course.
