If you are looking for a new board book for your younger child, Rocket Town is a good one. This 24 page book written by Bob Logan takes you on a tour of Rocket Town, where rockets are everywhere! The rockets vary in shape, size, color, and function. Everyone has a favorite rocket.
It is a simple book with a very simple story line. This book is a good introduction to opposites and numbers. It is a very colorful book with an almost “oldies” look to the illustrations. The town and people make me think of the 1950s era or maybe the Jetsons cartoons.
Both my children enjoyed reading this book; although, I felt it was almost too young for them. There is not really a story being told. It is really just a book about rockets. I am probably going to pass it down to my sister, who has one year old and three year old boys. I feel the book would be more age appropriate for my nephews.

A board book about rockets and no story wouldn’t be appropriate for older kids, like you said, but my 1 1/2 year old son would love it…he loves board books with pics! Thanks for the suggestion.
