If you’ve been following me for long, then I’m sure you’ve figured out that I like easy to prepare recipes. Being a working mom, with three young children who require gobs of my time, I have to find a way to keep my time in the kitchen minimal.
I was recently given the opportunity to test Grilled Essentials, the newest product from Hillshire Farm.
Grilled Essentials are fully-cooked, fully-seasoned chicken breasts that are ready to eat in 60 seconds. Each box of Grilled Essentials include two individually wrapped chicken breasts that are 98% fat free, contain 120 calories per serving, and provide you with 19 grams of protein.
Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials come in four flavors:
- Italian Style Chicken Breast
- Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast
- Garlic & Herb Chicken Breast
- Grilled Chicken Breast
I absolutely love how easy these are to prepare! It’s really as simple as placing the individually wrapped chicken on a microwave safe plate and cooking for 60 seconds. Each of the flavors were really tasty, but my favorite was the Grilled Chicken Breast but my husband’s was the Garlic & Herb.
I have found that it’s quite simple to add Grilled Essentials to pretty much any dish. I made collard greens for the first time just the other day and added sliced Grilled Essentials to the top and much to my surprise, it was a hit! I also added Grilled Essentials to a Chicken Pot Muffin and I’ll be sharing the recipe on Monday! It was totally delicious.
Have you had the opportunity to try the new Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials? If so, what was your favorite? If you haven’t tried them, what flavor are you looking forward to trying?

Oh my gosh, Ineed these. I eat salads all the time, and actually grill my own chicken. I just grill them weekly but this would be so convenient!

We gave our microwave away a few months ago, but I bet these can be prepared in the oven too. I usually don’t buy precooked, frozen meat, but I think these would be great to have on hand for quick lunches!

I had the opportunity to try the Grilled Essential last evening and it was fantastic. Easy and on you plate in 1 minute. Loved it.

Ok the secret is out…these things are fantastic!!! My favorite is to put one of these on a Pepperidge Farm whole wheat hamburger bun with a slice of muenster or provolone cheese and some Kraft Chipotle Mayo…its better than any sandwich you could buy at restaurant and it in under 3 minutes…the kids love em too.
I am going to go make one now!!!

I tried the Italian Roasted Chicken last night. One word Delicious!!! A must buy. I love the low calories. My husband and I decided to change our way of eating and I must say if we keep it up; the size 10 dress will not be long off.

I saw these at my local grocer. They only had 2 flavors, but I did purchase 3 of each! One question, can I freeze them? They were in a cooler, but not frozen, so wanted to know if they would still keep their taste when microwaved from frozen. Thanks for any replies 🙂
Crystal says
I’m not sure about that. Hopefully someone else will see your question and be able to answer for you. We’ve always eaten ours fairly quickly so no reason to freeze them 😉

Where can you buy thee? I tried at Bi-Lo & they don’t have them.
Debbie Love says
That is suppose to be these.

These are really awesome!! I am doing weight watchers and they are low in points, very flavorful and juicy (which is not easy to find chicken that is great out of the microwave)!! I have tried each flavor and love them all…

Where can you buy them?

Unfortunately I don’t think they make these anymore! I haven’t been able to find them in my market for a while.
