Not overwhelming myself with buying everything at once! I usually buy a few outfits then when it starts getting cooler out I buy a few more outfits. When it comes to the school work situation I’ve learned to make a chart with goals. If we accomplish the goals we get great rewards! I think we’ll survive Kindergarten this year by taking one day at a time…. and keeping it lighthearted and fun! I’m adjusting to having one less kiddo at home by spending more quality time with my little one at home and giving him more one-on-one attention! Every year before school starts, we do crafts and things to make my daughter’s room more homework friendly. We decorate around her desk, make pocket folders and catch alls, anything that makes it “cooler” to sit back there are get things done faster. Host a “Back to School Celebration” with your closest friends. Be sure to include great snacks, interesting wines, and a relaxing atmosphere. We all love our children, but there is nothing wrong with rejoicing a bit in those few extra kid-free hours… expecially after a long summer of kid friendly fun!
