I love chocolate! Like, REALLY love chocolate. And loving chocolate and trying to be healthy, well, it just doesn’t always go together.
But, you know what they say — everything in moderation!
I was recently sent a few products from the new Splenda Sweetener line, Splenda Essentials so I decided to make the children a quick little treat and this is what I came up with.
Yah, I know, it doesn’t look very tasty right there, but once that chocolate hardened and I broke it all into pieces, it was quite the treat!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Snack Mix
Ingredients
- 4 cups popcorn, cooked
- 1 1/2 cups Fiber One Original Bran Cereal
- 1 cup peanuts
- 1/2 cup Splenda Essentials No Calorie Sweetener with Fiber, Granulated
- 1 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 tbsp margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Waiting is the hardest part – seriously!
I kept walking back into the kitchen to see if the chocolate had firmed up. I felt like I’d been waiting forever, so I finally put it into the refrigerator for just a little. If you also live in Texas, this is probably your best bet.
Hope you enjoy this little treat just as much as we did!
