We recently received the Little Tikes Tough Workshop which was an immediate hit with my children and my one year old nephew.

little tikes tough workshopIf you’ve been following along for a while, you already know that I’m not very handy around the house.  I don’t do well in assembling items but when it was time to put the Little Tikes Tough Workshop together, my husband was busy doing something else so the task was all mine.  Although it doesn’t come with too many pieces, the fact that I’m not handy and that I don’t have a drill did make me worry.  Much to my surprise (and my husband’s I must add), I was able to put it together, all by myself.  Just me, the pieces and my Phillips screwdriver. It only took me about thirty minutes from start to finish and I felt super accomplished when I was finished.

All three of my children played with the Little Tikes Tough Workshop, the three year old a lot more than the five and eight year old but I feel all of my children are a little too big for the toy.  While my three year old is tall for his age, he is much taller than the workshop.

little tikes tough workshopSince it was a little small for my children, I gave the Little Tikes Tough Workshop to my nephew who just turned one and he immediately started playing with it. He was just a banging those tools as hard and fast as he could. It is recommended for ages 2+, but with the way my nephew was playing with it, I think it would be okay for younger children. You obviously know your child better than I do, so please use your judgement and don’t go off of my recommendation.

I love the sliding doors on the bottom of the workbench that allow for a little extra storage and I love that the workbench is compact and fits nicely in small spaces.  The workbench provides plenty of accessories and tools to keep the little ones busy and encourage imaginative play!

    I love the big adventures construction peak and rail set! Our neighbor is a GC and he has lots of BIG toys like dump trucks, trackhoes and bulldozers and lets our little one ride with him sometimes! So this is something we’re getting him for Christmas! Would be awesome to have the workbench as well as he’s always trying to use dads tools in his shop.
