Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon Blu-Ray Review

“I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for you meddling kids”! That familiar phrase is uttered by the villain as he’s taken away in Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon. That’s right, the Mystery Incorporated gang is back for an all new feature length original movie!

Scooby-Doo and Shaggy are ecstatic when the gang gets to attend the biggest comic book and character convention around. They can hardly wait to meet their favorite super hero, the Blue Falcon and his trusty side-kick, Dynamite the Wonder Dog. The highlight of the convention is supposed to be the premiere of the new movie based on the original Blue Falcon TV show.

At first the convention is full of fun. Daphne is obsessed with “Littlest Fuzzies” and is quite hilarious in her quest to own them all. Velma is her usual witty (and often sarcastic) self. Fred looks mostly bored, that is until Mr. Hyde, the evil villain from the Blue Falcon TV show, appears and begins sabotaging the convention and even putting lives in danger. Scooby-Doo and the gang are hired to solve the mystery and save the convention.

In true Scooby-style the gang begins to stumble onto some clues and come up with several possible suspects. Although they are hot on his trail, Mr. Hyde’s terrible tricks continue to escalate and Scooby and Shaggy face public ridicule for a botched attempt to save the day. In the end, though, Scooby-Doo brings down the villain, with a little extra help, of course!

For all you long-time Scooby-Doo fans, this is a must-have to add to your collection. The combo set also includes three bonus vintage Scooby-Doo episodes.

Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon incorporates everything we love about the classic cartoon, but is bigger and better with eye-popping animation and cool graphic effects. We really enjoyed the fact that it was feature length and available on Blu-Ray. All three of my kids sat down and watched it with me, something that rarely happens around here!
