I can’t help it.  British royalty are my guilty pleasure.  I stayed up all night to watch the Duchess marry Prince William.  I’ve bought every magazine with a Royal Bump cover story.  I want to know the second that Princess Alexandra Carole Diana Margaret Phillipa (not the actual name, of course) starts her reign as Most Adored Infant on the Planet.

When MSN asked me to reflect on when I needed to know now, I thought about the relief knowing my college-aged niece was safe after the Boston Marathon attacks.  I had to stop reading the updates after a while…it just hurt my heart beyond description.  Staying informed is infinitely important, but sometimes being in the know is just fun.  I’m sticking with happy news, like the arrival of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s baby.

With the new MSN, designed especially for Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10, I can get my news 4 times faster than other top sites.  Articles load and update with lightning speed on Windows 8, Android, and iOS devices.  With a global network of sources, I’ll be tweeting birth announcements before all of my friends!  Add in that trending topics are in real time, and that royal and I will be introduced almost instantaneously.
