When I was a child I don’t remember having a desire to read. I read when I had to, but I didn’t do it just because. But now that I’ve gotten older matured, I absolutely love to read. But cooking for my family, and washing our clothes, and driving kids to and from activities just gets in the way, y’all. The more I want to read, the more that I have to do around here.

But so far, my children like reading. I won’t say that every waking moment they have a book in their hand, but they do read every day. Some of that is due to homework and the Accelerated Reading Program, but I think their schools are doing a fantastic job of trying to instill the love of reading to the younger generation.

David Baldacci is a bestselling American novelist that began writing stories as a child. To date, Baldacci has published 27 best-selling novels for adults and four novels for younger readers.
