This is a partnered post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
When my husband and I first got married over 12 years ago, we had very basic jobs earning us just enough to live on. During those first few years of our marriage, I got really good at saving money by using coupons. Back in those days I was known around town as the Coupon Queen. I always had a coupon for anything we bought. In fact, I carried around a huge binder full of coupons that I got from different resources. {Much different than the digital couponing I do now.}
But as our way of life started changing and we earned more money from our jobs, so did they way I used coupons. When we first got married using coupons was a necessity, now it’s just a bonus. While I don’t carry around my huge coupon binder anymore (it’s stored in a safe place in the attic in case I ever need it again), I do have a small coupon file I got from The Container Store that I keep in my purse. Digital couponing has changed the way many consumers around the world coupon.
The way I’m couponing now is much different than when we first got married. Thanks to digital couponing, I only have to clip the coupons I know I’ll use, rather than each and every coupon in the insert. As technology has changed, more and more of my couponing is done digitally.
Where I used to have an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of all the different deals at all the different stores, sites like MyCouponStacker.com have made it easier for me to get the best bang for my buck at the stores I shop at.
Each user can customize their MyCouponStacker.com account by selecting which stores they shop at and by selecting items that they don’t buy. By doing this the system will only shows deals relevant to you, instead of showing each and every deal and each and every store. Since I don’t have babies anymore, I’ve checked all the baby items so that they don’t show up in my search results. Once you’ve chosen your selections in the account profile, you’re ready to start finding deals in your area. If you need help getting acquainted with the system, click on the “guide” tab and watch the informative video.
The next tab over is “deals.” This is where you’ll search for deals at the stores you shop at based on the selections in the account profile. They will be ordered starting with the lowest cost items first. You can view the results in any order simply by clicking on the column headings in the top white bar. You can sort them by store, department, expiration date and more.
You can search for coupons by department simply by using the drop down in the grey bar. Items will only appear in the search results if there are current deals available and if you haven’t selected not to see them in the account profile. You can also search by clicking on the blue text items in the results.
When you’ve found an item that you like and want to purchase, check the button to the far right to add it to your list. By doing this, the result will be saved to “my saved deals” in the drop down. When you’re reading to shop, use the drop down menu to view “my coupon list” to see the coupons you’ll need for the deals you’ve saved. This will show you where you can get each of the coupons. This area will also show you which coupons and/or rebates need to be loaded to store loyalty cards before shopping.
When you are ready to shop, select “my shopping list” from the drop down menu. Any items you’ve added using the “note” feature will show up along with all the other items you have selected. You can then print out your list for easy shopping at the store.
Once you’ve shopped and you’re ready to claim your rebates, choose “my rebate list” from the drop down menu. This will keep track of all the rebates that need to be completed after the sale. Check off each one after you’ve completed it so that it will be removed for you.
The next tab is “coupons.” From this tab you will be able to browse hundreds of printable coupons, most of which can be printed up to two times. New coupons are added daily.
If you want to clear your list at any time, simply click the red clear button on the search bar for a fresh list.
The way I’m couponing now sure beats the hours I put into it years ago. Without the hassle of finding the deals myself by scouring the sales ads, it frees up my time for other things. I also save so much time by not cutting the hundreds of inserts I used to get. I get my one weekly insert and use my iPhone for digital coupons.
With modern technology I find that I can save money while still purchasing items we need. I don’t always have a coupon for everything like I used to, but I find that I’m absolutely okay with that. I save money when and where I can in a way that doesn’t drain me of time.
MyCouponStacker.com is a new way of couponing that’s easier for the consumer. The site looks very basic but the technology behind it is anything but basic. It finds the deals you need based on your input and then tells you how to get it for the lowest price possible at the stores in your area. I think a site makeover is definitely necessary in the future, but regardless of how it looks, it works.
Do you use coupons? If so, do you think MyCouponStacker.com will help the way you shop?

I have aspired to be a coupon queen more than once, but each time I have failed miserably. Digital couponing is a much easier way to go, but it can still get confusing for me and I wonder how some people are able to save so much. My Coupon Stacker looks like a really great way to stay organized. I need to try it out!

I wish all the grocery stores in my area would use the fantastic digital couponing system that Kroger uses. I just created an online account with my loyalty card, and then go to coupons. The coupons I select are then loaded onto my Kroger Card. When I am checking out, the cashier scans my card, and if I have bought the right products, the coupons are automatically applied to my purchase. LOVE IT.
