It’s hard to believe that Father’s Day is just around the corner. Celebrate with these delicious Grilled Bratwurst Kabobs.
This is a partnered post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
With Father’s Day literally just days away, we decided to do something a little different for my husband for Father’s Day (although we had to celebrate a couple days early {wink wink}). I know as a mother and wife, I love being served breakfast in bed, especially when I know so much thought and effort went in to making it. When Johnsonville contacted me about their “Bratfest in Bed” campaign, it sparked some ideas and got the creative juices flowing.
My husband works long days. He wakes up in the middle of night basically to head in to work and some days he doesn’t make it home until it’s dark outside again. There is no way I’m making him breakfast in bed. But Bratfest in Bed is something I could totally get behind.
Since summer is here in full swing we’ve been using my husband’s new grill several times a week. As I’ve mentioned several times before, I’m not really a fan of the grill, or haven’t been in the past. The old one we had scared me and I was positive would blow up on me when trying to ignite it. But this new grill, y’all, sooo easy. So I guess my husband was right. It’s all about the grill. I think I could get used to grilling.
You know that I’m not one for overly complicated recipes and tend to stick with easy recipes. And in keeping with the trend of easy recipes, these Grilled Bratwurst Kabobs totally fit the bill.
I’m telling you that these Grilled Bratwurst Kabobs are out of this world delicious. There are so many flavors all piled on to the skewer. And all the colors are so bold and vibrant. I like looking at them as much as I like eating them.
These Grilled Bratwurst Kabobs could be a meal on their own, but I cooked up some baked fingerling potatoes to serve along side them and it was a meal fit for a king! At least my king thought so!
The kids had a great time helping me prepare. They each helped with assembling the skewers and were incredibly excited to serve daddy after a long day at work.
It doesn’t have to be Father’s Day to surprise the man in your life with Bratfest in Bed. Any time of the year is a perfect time to show him that you love and appreciate him. We put together this little video and hopefully it inspires you to think outside of the box and honor the man in your life.
Don’t forget to pin these delicious kabobs to one of your favorite Pinterest boards.
