Whether you’re celebrating Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day, these Patriotic Straws make the perfect festive touch to your celebrations.

I love being able to put on my little crafting hat and create cute little touches for our parties and celebrations. The best part of these Patriotic Straws is they are incredibly easy to make and extremely inexpensive. Two of my favorite things, y’all.

DIY Patriotic Straws

I have a thing with collecting paper straws so I have an elaborate collection of colorful paper straws in my office. Since Memorial Day is quickly approaching, I started thinking about what I could do as we celebrated the day off at home.

I remembered my paper straw collection in the cabinet and thought festive Patriotic Straws would make a perfect addition to the tablescape. Not only are they super adorable, but they’re also useful since we try not to use plastic straws anymore.

Patriotic Straw Supplies

To make these adorable DIY Patriotic Straws, you’ll need a variety of red, white, and blue paper straws, white card stock, red card stock, and a large and small star paper punch.

To be completely honest, most of the time, I only buy craft supplies on clearance or when I have an awesome Michaels’ coupon. But I’ve been finding that Amazon has some really good deals on craft supplies at times.

How to Make Patriotic Straws

Use the star paper punches to cut out stars in the red and white card stock. I did some of each size on each color paper so that I could layer them if I wanted to.

Then, using a glue stick, layer some of the smaller stars on top of the larger stars.

Using the same glue, glue the stars towards the top of the straws and allow to dry.
