My family loves chicken. In fact, in an average week we eat chicken at least 3 times. I like cooking chicken because there are a variety of cuts plus I can cook it in a variety of ways. We like boneless, skinless chicken breasts, chicken drumsticks (legs), split chicken breast and sometimes I just buy the whole chicken.
We were recently sent Greensbury Market Organic Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast and Organic Italian Chicken Sausages to review and boy was it a hit with the whole family! We have never tried organic meats because our budget for groceries just doesn’t allow it. In fact, I’m not even sure if there is organic meats in our market. Living in the country doesn’t leave me with many options.
We decided to grill our chicken, like we do most of the time, and it turned out delicious. The breasts didn’t dry out and remained nice and moist. The sausages were a bit spicy for the children, but personally, I loved them. I’m a fan of a little heat and it totally satisfied the craving.
I like that Greensbury Market Meats are all organic – meaning no antibiotics, synthetic hormones or synthetic pesticides! However, I don’t like the high-price tag. Being a family of five living on one income it would be incredibly hard for us to afford this.
About Greensbury Market
Launched in 2004, Greensbury is the vision of four “meat guys” with more than a decade of experience in gourmet food distribution. We believe in supporting sustainable agriculture, family farms, and organic practices that produce healthy, environmentally friendly food. We’ve traveled all over the country to find meats that are not only organic, but also tender, juicy, and delicious. We’ve visited dozens of farms and built relationships with farmers who do things the old fashioned way – meaning they take care of the land and humanely raise animals without antibiotics, synthetic hormones, or synthetic pesticides.
Greensbury is committed to working in partnership with both our customers and our farmers to bring more sustainably raised, delicious, healthy organic meats to more doorsteps in more regions across the U.S.
While I think Greensbury Market is doing something spectacular, I think most middle class families simply can’t afford it. But, if you can afford to purchase organic meats I think going Greensbury Market is the way to go. Not only are they environmentally friendly, they are community friendly as well. Greensbury is committed to working in partnership with both customers and farmers to bring more sustainably raised, delicious, healthy organic meats to more doorsteps in more regions across the U.S.

I would love to try out the chicken. My family eats boneless chicken quite often. I just try to prepare it as many different ways that I can.

My family is a little chicken-crazy, too. I don’t recall ever seeing this brand in my local supermarket, though. I’ll keep an eye out for it next time.

I have nerve had organic chicken or meat products but have heard they are really delicious. Our budget doesn’t allow it either.

as to greensbury market…
i am very pleased with the quality products greensbury carries i cannot stress enough how disappointed i am in their horrible customer service.
my first few orders went well. i ordered. i received email updates on my order. the order arrived timely and well packed.
my last three have gotten continuely worse till i can no longer recommend this company.
one order was days later than promised by the web site. i received no emails other than letting me know the order was recieved. the website had no updates or information on my order.
next order was a week late and did not have all the correct items. i contacted matt. the correct items were send to me.
my last order was made 18 days ago. i have yet to receive it. i contacted matt. i was told he would look into the problem the next day. two more days passed and i heard nothing. then i recieved a request for my phone number so the matter could be discussed and i was assured my order would arrive no later than saturday. here it is saturday night and that i would receive a 10% refund. no meat. no call. no refund. the website has no information on the status of my order. in fact, ALL my orders from the first show “pending shipment”.
i will never order from this company again.
