If you’ve got a Thomas fan on your hands, then they’ll love the Thomas Wooden Railway Early Engineers Roundabout Station Set.
My boys absolutely love anything train, so when I was given the opportunity to review the Thomas Wooden Railway Early Engineers Roundabout Station Set, I was pretty sure it would be a hit. The looks on their faces when I pulled it out of the box was simply priceless. They were so excited to be getting a new train set.
My little guys have been going in circles with Thomas for days now. The Early Engineers Roundabout Station Set includes Tracktile, Maithwaite Station, Thomas, a crossing gate, a spinning cargo and two track connectors. The two track connectors make it easy to connect to other sets like the Busy Day on Sodor Set, the Rock and Roll Quarry Set, or to any other Thomas Wooden Railway products. Because they are designed for children 18 months and up, the Early Enginees line offers young train lovers their first stop in wooden train play with chunky vehicles and sturdy tracks. I think it’s perfect that the Early Engineers line is compatible with any Thomas Wooden Railway products so that it grows as your children grow.
I like that everything is made with quality materials and lasts through the roughness of my two boys. The moving parts on the crossing gate is a nice touch and keeps my little guys entertained and happy. I’m disappointed that all the track does is go in circles though. I think it’s kind of silly to sell this set separately because you definitely need another set to get the full effect of the fun! Right now, my boys are good with going in circles and hopefully it keeps them entertained until Christmas.

My nephew loved Thomas but I have a girl now and she is not that into it yet, not sure if she will 🙁 I also entered a giveaway for the Britax Frontier.

My grandson used to love Thomas, but now he is into “real” trains and his dad has gotten him some model trains that he totally adores. So no more Thomas. I’m sad, because I loved getting him these adorable sets.

This is perfect to go on our list of trains to possibly get for Lilly for christmas. my husband has this idea of getting a train set to go around the tree for our daughter, who will be 18 months then. We are not sure of our budget so writing a list of all trains we find. She loves train and got her a train play/pusher to help her walk. Too bad the other set is sold seperatly and the original only goes in circles. But it is still cute!

I agree…it seems pretty boring that you have a set that does just that. The initial price isn’t bad, but adding to the track sounds like it must get expensive. But alas, the little ones love ANYTHING Thomas anyway!
