Being a mommy of three little ones, I have a stroller with me pretty much everywhere I go. Since my youngest has been born, I’ve been using a huge double stroller that is incredibly difficult to steer and makes it pretty much impossible to shop with. I’ve been in the market for another single stroller since giving mine away when I bought the double stroller and the possibilities are endless. If you’ve searched for a stroller, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
A few weeks ago I received an email about the opportunity to review the Inglesina Avio Stroller, made in Vicenza, Italy (Inglesina was founded in 1963 by Liviano Tomasi). I think it was totally fate because after doing what research I could online (it wasn’t readily available yet) I knew I wanted to try out this stroller. The colors were bright and trendy and the innovative design was something I totally wanted to experience.
When the box arrived at my doorstep it was like an early Christmas for me! I couldn’t wait to open it and test it out. But I’m sure you can imagine my disappointment when I opened it and saw this.
You mean, I have to put it together? Since I clearly wasn’t born with the gene that makes these types of tasks easy, I decided that surely it wouldn’t be too difficult and decided to give it a shot. But when I saw everything out of the box, it looked even harder.
So, while I waited for the hubby to get home from work, the kiddos played with the box the stroller came in and made silly faces for the camera.
Once the hubby got home and started working on assembling the stroller, it took us about an hour or so to get everything assembled correctly. Just start off by reading the directions. Don’t try to figure it out yourself. Take my word for it.
One of the first things I noticed as we were assembling the stroller was the quality of the components. It’s really unlike any stroller I’ve used, well, really any stroller I’ve seen. Once we had it totally assembled and ready to go, my 2 1/2 year old son jumped in ready for a quick stroll.
Oh.My.Gosh. I’m in stroller heaven. The Inglesina Avio Stroller seriously feels like it’s gliding across the floor, even with a 28 pound toddler. I can turn the stroller one-handed without much effort at all. With three children, there are many times that I need an extra hand when we are out, so now I can hold one childs hand as I also push the stroller. Since I’m on the topic of one-handed operation, I can also open the stroller one-handed.
Another thing I immediately noticed was how thin the stroller is compared to other strollers I’ve used. It will make my shopping excursions so much easier. It pretty much turns on a dime making maneuvering in between racks a breeze.
The four-position recline is perfect for sleepy children allowing them to nap comfortably and cozy with the extra large canopy.
Some other features that I think are worthy of mentioning is the cup holder which comes in handy, but realistically I need more than one cup holder. The large storage underneath the stroller is perfect for a small diaper bag and purse. Again, I’d like it to be a tad bit larger since I have three young children that require snacks, diapers, etc.
I’ve found a stroller that fits most of my needs and it’s still stylish and functional.

I love how small it folds up! Looks like a nice stroller, but I do think I’m done with them.

I must say this stroller does look a lot different than any other stroller I’ve seen out there on the market-it is very bright but as long as it’s made with the quality products you described I think it would be a great addition for any family.

i don’t think. But it looks like it should last from my first kid
to my last.

I would have been in the SAME boat with instructions! i CAN do it all, but cant get the instructions quite in order!
Looks like the MACK TRUCK of all strollers as far as quality! One think I hate is trying to turn a stubborn stroller on a dime, and you said this has such ease…so awesome! We found out we are having a new grand child in the spring, so this was so nice to learn about. Pricey for us, but am sure it’s worth the money. Dern…with this was a promo! LOL! Love the colors too!

Love Italian strollers – so well designed! Mine is a Peg Perego, which I love, but it takes up my whole trunk and is huge! This looks like a nice alternative!

I love my Avio!! It is certainly the best stroller we have owned!! It took me about 25mins to put it together and a few attempts at opening and closing 😉 My husband is afraid to touch for fear he will break it LOL but it is well worth owning!!
