This year NESTLÉ Pure Life is a national sponsor of The Great American Cleanup, one of Keep America Beautiful’s principle projects that supports its mission to preserve and protect our environment. This is the nation’s largest community improvement program and involves an estimated 3.9 million volunteers and participants.  Last year, volunteers donated more than 5.7 million hours to clean, beautify and improve more than 33,700 communities during more than 30,000 events in all 50 states and beyond.

Would you like to get involved?  Activities include beautifying parks and recreation areas, cleaning seashores and waterways, handling recycling collections, picking up litter, planting trees and flowers, and conducting educational programs and litter-free events.     I LOVE to recycle & have been for years..need a new system though and that fling bag looks really cool!!

    I also use my re-usable shopping bags when I shop and I use energy efficient light bulbs!

    Our family always recycles. Tuesdays for us is recycling day. I also keep small plastic bags in my car and if I see garbage on the side of the road in my area, I usually stop and pick it up. Thank you for the chance to win!

    Soda cans go in a bag to donate to scouts for all year round fundraiser.. paper and plastic bottles go in the recycle bin.. While cleaning out the closet, I donated all the books and clothing instead of placing in the garbage. Our week garbage bin used be over flowed each week, now that we have a routine of recycling.. we don’t seem to be the neighbors on the block with over flowing garbage. We invested in rain barrels last summer, woot! haven’t had to turn on the hose to water the garden.. we have been using the rain from the barrel.

    I’ve been recycling for many years now. I’ve cut way back on buying goods that come in unrecyclable packaging. I donate all usable items to charity shops and quite often buy items that I need from them. I always keep reuseable bags in the car and use them for all my shopping needs. Thanks.

    Soda cans go to the recycle plant where I get paid. We also turn in our plastic bottles for money. Use CFL bulbs, take our plastic bags to the store where they recycle them and always use my cavas bags at the store!

    we recycle and compost, use tote bags when shopping, hang my clothes outside during summer to dry and save rain water for watering my garden and flower pots

    I recycle everything in my house. I recyle at work. I sometimes will take large boxes from people’s garbage and put in my recycle bin.

    We use energy-efficient light bulbs, recycle what we can, use re-usable shopping totes, pick up litter around the neighborhood – even my young grandkids understand the importance of never littering.

    We recycle everything that can be recycled including electronics. We just sent a box of cell phones to a womens shelter and we donate everything we no longer use. We also have a composte bin in our back yard. All of these things cut down on the amount of items that go into the landfills.

    We are very careful about the use of non-biodegradable plastics. We recycle all plastic bottles, we bring re-usable shopping bags for all of our grocery shopping trips and we are attempting to grow our own organic vegetable garden and composting this year.

    My family picks up old computers and car batteries that people don’t know what to do with and we recycle them at our local Recycling Facility. We also collect cans and cash them in because they have been almost $1.00 a pound for Aluminum.

    I help the environment by recycling, using cloth diapers, cleaning without chemicals, breastfeeding (yes, it’s eco friendly), air drying clothes, organically gardening, using cloth feminine napkins

    I recycle just about everything I can! And this year, I’ve gone all ‘green’ with my yard. No chemicals or weed killers. I’m kicking my yard’s butt the hard way!

    All 6 of us go out and collect trash near the river.We also recycle and try to reduce our energy consumption.We are also started a monthly lights out hour in our home.It is nice to sit outside and look at the stars.Thanks!

    Our family recycles everything that we can. When we leave rooms, we shut off the lights. We don’t let the water faucet run when brushing our teeth, etc. Plus, we keep our thermostat lower to save energy. We also only use energy saving appliances.

    We just signed up for our city’s brand-new recycling program. We have also started using super-concentrated cleaning agents to decrease our trash output and line-drying our clothes to decrease our energy consumption.

    we recycle, and when the weather up here permits, we do a lot of camping and hiking, and we always bring the “grabbers” and garbage bags to help pack out all of our garbage, along with any garbage we find along our way.

    We do alot, but probably could do more. We turn off/unplug items that are not in use. We follow the three r’s.. reduce, reuse, recycle. We combine our errands and outings to comserve fuel.

    I help the environment by using my reusable bags at the grocery store rather than plastic I also try to waste less plastic bottles and If I use them I recycle them.
