If I had to name one thing I look forward to on Friday nights, it’s sitting down on the couch after a long day of work and watching a film with my babies. And that is exactly what we did tonight! We recently received Happiness Is Peanuts: Snoopy’s Adventures and we couldn’t wait to watch it.
I remember watching Snoopy as a child, so to be able to sit and watch it with my children is a little sentimental for me.
Happiness Is Peanuts: Snoopy’s Adventures is the first release in Warner’s new line of Peanuts releases. The series originally aired in 1983 and ended airing new episodes in 1986 with a total of 19 episodes and 2 seasons. This DVD has a runtime of 46 minutes and includes four episodes:
- Snoopy’s Foot – Poor little Snoopy hurts his foot late one night and still tries to play baseball. And wouldn’t you know that while he’s playing, he hurts the other one. Just his luck…right?!?
- Giant – We all know the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, but not with Snoopy and Woodstock!
- Rerun – This short story focuses on the younger brother of Linus and Lucy, young Rerun Van Pelt.
- Snoopy’s Getting Married, Charlie Brown – Well, the title is pretty self-explanatory. Snoopy meets a pretty, female dog late one night as he is trying to be Peppermint Patty’s watch dog. They fall in love and plan a wedding, even inviting Snoopy’s brother, Spike. Does Snoopy get married? Well, you’ll have to watch to find out!
Peanut’s fan or not, I think this would make a great addition to your DVD library. It’s a character the children love and you don’t have to really worry about what the children are watching. It’s fun, clean and entertaining! How could you go wrong?
