My husband is now on his fourth wedding band. No, I’m not his fourth wife (I’m his one and only) it just seems like he is having difficulties keeping his ring where it should be — on his finger!
His first wedding band was by far my favorite. It was a white gold band with a line of baguette diamonds and looked perfect on his finger. Since he lost his first ring, when it came to getting him another one I didn’t want to spend a lot of money.
Through the years he’s lost his second and third rings, which were just plain jane white gold bands. I wasn’t as upset about those because we had already figured out that he needed a band that would hold up to him working with his hands all day.
After doing a bit of research at MensTungstenOnline.com and looking through the collection of mens tungsten rings, he decided that would probably be the best option. Since tungsten rings are supposed to be the most durable on the planet and are reasonably priced, I didn’t think we had any other option. A tungsten ring it was!
So all that aside, is my husband the only one out there that constantly loses his wedding bands?

My husband’s ring was missing for over a year. We finally found it under the sofa, so clearly I don’t vacuum under the furniture very often.
Crystal says
LOL, I won’t tell anyone!
Laurie says
My husband plays with his all the time spinning it on the table, try supergluing it to his finger LOL
Shop with Me Mama (Kim) says
My hubby can’t even wear his most of the time (he works with machines) so we have his tucked away in our home somewhere 🙂
{Not Quite} Susie Homemaker says
Well my “Hubby” and I aren’t legally married yet {despite being together for 7 years…} but he’s already told me he doesn’t want to wear a ring since he works with his hands, too. I’m still a little hesitant to okay it, but at least if I do he won’t lose his ring{s}!
Tricia NightowlMama says
WOW. My husband had NEVER lost his ring ever and he doesn’t wear it all the time either. I think I’d have to install it in his nose if he lost it that many times LOL
Jessica says
Hubby has never lost his ring but I’m surprised. He is always taking it off to sleep, shower, work in the yard, etc…I would be peeved if he lost it. :^)
Donna says
My hubby doesn’t wear his wedding ring all the time, either. Did lose (misplaced) it once, but found it. 🙂
Lisa @ Oh Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy says
my husband ruined his first band when we separated for awhile but never lost one.
Milehimama says
My husband has lost a couple. He lost his first one when his hand got caught in a machine (scary, but he was OK.) Several jobsites have prohibitions against wearing wedding rings (or any jewelry on the wrists and hands) so it usually “lives” in our bathroom cabinet. I think we’re on our 3rd or 4th one for him! Honestly, we just buy cheapie cheap rings, although he is making a set of matching wedding bands for us.
Marybeth @ babygoodbuys.com says
My husband hasn’t lost his band, but he DOES have a tungsten carbide ring that looks pretty fantastic. A few of his friends have rings made from the same material, and I really like all of them. It’s more masculine than the traditional metals and far more durable, too!
Can you tell my mom worked for a jeweler for a long time? I sound like a commercial!

My Husband has only taken his ring off his finger once. When he did, I got very upset.
I know it seems silly to a lot of people now a days, but I have never taken my ring off, and never will. It has been on my finger for 8 years, sense we said “I do!!!”
It means a lot to me to know that Ben put it on there, and I will never take it off. Ben took his off by accident once (long story) but he knows and feels the same, that he will not take it off again.
My family has always done that, and everyone has had long happy marriages. My parents for 31 years, my grandparents for 45 years etc. They never took their rings off.
Before my Grandfather died (cancer) he lost a lot of weight and his ring fell off. It was the first time he ever cried. He was so upset that it had been on there for 45 years, and then just fell off.
I don’t know if anyone else does this. I know I am old fashioned!!!
Crystal says
I love that though! I’ve taken mine off a few times (my fingers swelled when I was pregnant) but other than that it’s been on my finger.
Nichol says
I hope he can get a ring that doesn’t fall off. Maybe a size smaller??
Dee says
My husband has a tungston ring and loves it. He has to tell everybody what it’s made of and how any scratches add more interest to the design.
Colleen says
Ummm…super glue may help?
Kasandria Reasoner says
I agree with Colleen: SUPER GLUE 😉

I must say that my husband has been great in keeping up with his wedding band so far throughout our 11 years of marriage. Me, on the other hand, is a different story.
Liz says
I don’t have that problem because I am only engaged currently but my dad works with hands a lot on machines. My mom thought of a plan and it was to have him put it on his keyring. He has had it on there ever since and it’s always with him so he doesn’t lose it. Maybe you can try that.
Crystal says
Great idea, thanks so much for sharing.
Marcie W. says
My husband has never lost his, but he has lost weight and needs a new, smaller band, since his is Tungsten & can’t be sized.
Louise says
My husband has one of these and it’s wonderful. It’s my favorite ring.
Paula @ Frosted Fingers says
So far so good. We’re going on 10 years in April.
Kelly says
My husband actually hasn’t ever lost his. In fact, he never takes it off because it’ll barely slide off his finger. That’s probably a good and bad thing.
1stopmom says
My husband can’t wear his ring at work because he works with machines. Then at home he is always fixing something. I love the idea of putting it on keychain!
Penelope says
My husband never lost his wedding band, but he hates tags in his shirts and will TEAR them out (not cut them out or let me remove them) and has ruined a bunch of nice, expensive shirts that way. He’s such a caveman 🙂
Men!
April Decheine says
I have been married for about 26 years, my husband lost his ring like the first year. It was his fathers. He just started wearing an old band I found that was my fathers on his ring finger but he takes it off every night and when he puts it on in the AM he always says time for my bling.. 🙂
nicole says
Wow! His fourth ring? I’d make him get a freakin’ tattoo of a wedding band or something. I don’t know if he’s the only one, but I wonder if his hands get all sweaty when he’s working and maybe that’s how he looses them. I like his latest one…very manly looking!
Kathleen says
I have great things about these Tungsten rings. Especially that they are really great for men who have manual labor jobs. They are supposed to stand up to stress a lot better than other rings.
Virginia from That Bald Chick says
If my husband lost that many rings, I would buy several of the same Tungsten ring and jist keep them in stash. LOL.
Anne - Mommy Has to Work says
Four? Wow!
Megan says
My husband has a plain titanium ring. I like the tungsten, I may just upgrade his.
Sheila says
My husband got a cheap ring, because he can’t wear a ring at work and what is the point of having one lay on his dresser.
Me, I have one, not a super fancy one. But, it sits on my dresser. I hate rings because I am in water, chemicals, etc.. and they bug me.
I am married. I can say the words and so can he, so we don’t need our rings 😉
Carlo says
The first rings that my wife and I had were stolen when we were swimming. We’re on our second band now. I’ve lost mine MANY times, only to find them sometime later. Too many close calls, I tell you.
HilLesha says
I’m definitely getting my boyfriend a Tungsten when we get married (that’s all he talks about, haha). They’re so classy!
