During my trip last month to Arizona, I was invited to dine at Different Pointe of View at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. It was truly a dining experience that I’ll never forget along with the memories shared with five of my closest friends.
During its 25 year history, Different Pointe of View has evolved into a succulent dining experience with stunning views atop North Mountain in Phoenix.
The floor-to-ceiling windows give you breathtaking views of the Valley’s desert landscape, the city’s twinkling lights at night and Arizona’s impressive sunsets.
When you dine at this state-of-the-art restaurant, you are treated to an adventurous menu with bold flavors and highly skilled chefs using innovative technique.
We started off the night with plates full of bacon wrapped sirloin, lobster quesadillas, mushroom pinwheels…is your mouth watering yet? Seriously delicious food, y’all. I’m usually really good about portion control, but I just kept eating and eating. But I wasn’t the only one so I didn’t feel so bad. It was a common scene around the entire table.
By the time we had finished our starters, we were full but still ate our entrees. They were much to savory to pass up. My favorite of the night were the scallops. I’ve been in many restaurants where the scallops just weren’t cooked right (either undercooked or overcooked), much like that seen on Hell’s Kitchen, but these scallops were cooked to perfection.
Chef DeMuro has been working at Different Pointe of View since 2005 and oversees each on-site restaurant. Before working at Different Pointe of View, he was executive chef and food and wine director at Doubletree La Posada Resort. He is known for using local and regionally grown ingredients and has set the standard among Arizona restaurants.
I honestly can not say enough good things about Different Pointe of View. There is really no wondering why they are the longest standing AAA Four Diamond Restaurant in Arizona or why they received the Diner’s Choice Award for Most Romantic Restaurant in 2013.
After you finish dinner you can hang out on the terrace around fire pits and roast marshmallows. But these aren’t just any marshmallows. Make sure you ask about them.
Different Pointe of View is open for dinner every night of the week. If you would like to stay connected with Different Pointe of View, go ahead and “like” them on Facebook. The pictures that are posted of their entrees make me wish I was back in Arizona.
