I’ll freely admit that since moving into our brand new home almost two years ago, I‘ve been kind of lazy in the decorating department. There aren’t many photos on the wall, nothing that really stands out and says this is our home.
It’s actually a little embarrassing but the problem is me, y’all. I can’t make up my mind. I’m not really gifted in the decorating department so instead of having to make decisions that I might regret, I just don’t make any at all.
And that’s why my house still looks so bare and boring.
My husband and I finally had to sit down and have a heart to heart. He wants to hang pictures and coordinate stripes and patterns, and all that fun stuff that creative and talented people like to do, and I think I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I just have to relinquish all control and let him do his thing.
All control. Because if I just have even the slightest bit of control, I’ll sabotage it all.
I told you all that just to let you know — we’ve made progress. We have a picture on the wall.

I absolutely love it! This is actually a picture I took of my children last summer at the Dallas Arboretum and I adore that you can see each of their personalities in this one simple shot. My daughter is such a spunky little thing and even has her hand on her hip sitting down. My middle son is just care-free, enjoying the day and well, the little guy, he’s just cheesing it up for the camera.
I ordered this canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints and the ordering process from start to finish was super simple. The hardest part of this whole process was figuring out which photo I wanted to use. You can upload photos stored on your computer and photos uploaded to Facebook or Instagram. The website was easy to navigate and the simple instructions guided me through the ordering process.
If you want to order your own, this is how you do it: you’ll start by choosing the size of your canvas (mine is 24″ x 36″ with the .75 standard wrap), upload photo, position photo onto the canvas, proof, and then order. If you’d like, you can also purchase hooks for an additional $1.49. The 24″ x 36″ retails for $146.42 but most times you can find a coupon code for a percentage off plus free standard shipping. For example, as of the time of this post you can get a 24″ x 36″ canvas print for 25% off with free standard shipping bringing your total down to $109.81.
I ordered the canvas on January 23rd, it shipped February 2nd and arrived at my house on February 5th. I think from time of order to shipping could have been a bit faster, but other than that the experience was flawless.
I like walking into my livingroom and not seeing this huge, bare wall. I know it’s only one step, but we will be taking many more. I want my house to look more like a home, our home.
Do you have any canvas prints in your home?

I was always obsessed with decorating details, but have been so busy lately, I’m lucky to hang one pic when I’m done painting a room…lol

Such a cute shot. I love having photo memories on our wall. We started a wall full of canvas prints from our summer trip and it has room to grow, so each year we will add more photos from our summer trips until we reach all 50 states.

I love the photo! &The first two paragraphs of this post could totally have been written by me. We’ve lived here almost four years & I JUST hung a few pictures {canvas prints, actually} a couple of months ago.

LOVE canvas prints — I have several (from bluebonnet and pumpkin patch sessions); I just adore how “friendly” they seem in comparison to the formality of a framed print.
Colleen says
Very good pic and nice and bright.

I’ve been in my home for 10 years, and sadly our walls are still bare. I’m too lazy to decorate, and nothing calls out at me when we’re shopping. I may just have to check out canvas prints as I love personal photos, and your print came out amazing.
