I need to get out of the house. I am loving being home with baby Poppy, like I can’t imagine ever going back to work, but it’s good for both of us to get out of the house, even if it’s just for short walks around the neighborhood.
I recently received the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger Click Connect Travel System to review with the arrival of our newest little addition. The travel system includes the jogger stroller, infant car seat, and car seat base. The benefit of having a travel system is being able to move a child from car to stroller without having to remove him/her from the car seat. My silent prayers of “Stay asleep, stay asleep, stay asleep” have been heard!
Some of my favorite features of the FastAction Fold Jogger:
- Weight: My last stroller was a massive, 50 pound double stroller. Its poor design made it almost impossible to push and I’m not even going to mention how silly I looked trying to load it into my car. The Graco FastAction Fold weighs in at 30 pounds, still very noticeable but not nearly as heavy as my previous stroller or other joggers I’ve seen.
- Agility: The 3-wheel design combined with larger jogger wheels make it an ease to control whether you are walking on sidewalks or uneven terrain. The wheels are inflatable, whereas others are hard plastic. My husband slightly overfilled them, making the ride a little bumpier at first. It is so easy to push though. I was able to hold a young child and push it with one hand.
- Folding: To be able to use this stroller in our daily life, it has to fit in my trunk. You’d think I’d have ample space as a mini van driver, but actually the trunk space is pretty tight. The stroller folds flat simply and quickly with the use of a strap located in the center of the seat. When folded, the width is about 2 feet. I have been taking it out of the car when I go grocery shopping because shopping for 5 takes up a lot of room!
- Parent-Friendly Features: 4 cup holders and 2 trays make a momma happy. The parent tray features 2 deep cup holders, a smartphone cradle, and a covered storage compartment. My iPhone fits perfectly, but my husband’s Android is a little snug in the cradle. If you’re planning on jogging with your jogging stroller (a novel concept, I know), you can do it with your favorite soundtrack. A word of advice: the sticker on the cradle is hard to remove. The child’s tray opens or is completely removable. Another feature is the under-carriage storage compartment. It’s not huge, but will hold a diaper bag easily enough.
A concern I had when using the stroller was the multi-position reclining seat. It allows the child to sit up or slightly recline, but it won’t lay completely flat. I’ve been researching other jogging strollers and it seems that they don’t lay flat either. Perhaps this is to protect the child’s head from bumps when you’re jogging. Just the same, I wish it were an option.
What about the ClickConnect Carseat?
The car seat is a great option. The SnugRide seats were not included in the recent voluntary Graco buckle recall. The LATCH-equipped base was a snap to install. When clicking the seat into the base, the carseat locks both in the front and back. To release the seat from its base, you engage a red lever. The back unlocks easily each time, but I have felt like it catches sometimes on the front latches.
I’ve read other reviews that commented on the weight, which hasn’t been a problem for me at all. It’s 7.5 pounds, which doesn’t seem excessive when you consider it’s primary role is to protect a child from injury in case of an accident.
As Poppy ages, I’m looking forward to using the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger to go on bigger and longer expeditions.
Buy:
You can jog your way into stores to pick up the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger Click Connect Travel System for the suggested retail price of $319.99.

Thanks, Vanessa! We are really enjoying our time together…in and out of the stroller. 🙂

Very nice! Graco has really come a long way in style and function since I first started shopping for strollers. They have a great selection of fun colors and features now.
Melanie says
I opted for the red, since it’s my favorite color. The purple was hard to pass up though! Strollers have so many bells and whistles now!
Theresa @ Faith and Family Reviews says
Congratulations on your sweet little one. The stroller and car seat look wonderful!
Melanie says
Thank you, Theresa! They have worked out very well for us.
HilLesha says
Fantastic review, and Poppy is so adorable! 🙂
Melanie says
Thanks! I think she’s pretty cute, but I’m a little biased.
Rachel @ Following In My Shoes says
I have always used Graco strollers — love them!
Melanie says
I’ve tried a couple of different brands, and the Graco is one I know I can depend on. Glad it worked out for you as well. 🙂
Ty @ Mama of 3 Munchkins says
Looks like an awesome system but that’s way too expensive for me.
Melanie says
I understand completely. There are lots of options in the Graco line. Maybe another would work out better for you, if you’re in the market for a new stroller. 🙂
TerriAnn @ Cookies & Clogs says
I love the features and how compact it folds down to. Having the carseat click in is awesome!
Melanie says
It is! Having the seat lock in lets me know she’s definitely not going anywhere.
Shell Feis says
I really need to get my hands on a travel system. I love Graco’s products!
Melanie says
It’s wonderful having everything fit together perfectly. Happy shopping!
Robin Gagnon {Mom Foodie} says
I sure could have used this when my daughter was little.
Melanie says
I can relate! Even the things that have come out since my first child was born have been amazing! What other products do you wish you would have had?
Anne - Mommy Has to Work says
Oh my, she is so tiny in there! And yes it’s good to get of the house for a bit.
Melanie says
She looks so small in the seat, but with the removable padding she doesn’t wiggle or flop around. Plus, she’ll fit for a long time.
diane says
Oh, your little girl is adorable! I had a stroller similar to this when the kids were little but yours definitely weighs less. Looks very stylish, too!
Melanie says
Thanks! Strollers keep getting better and better, don’t they?!?!
Angela S says
It’s definitely important to get out of the house, and this looks like the way to do it. I’m loving some of the parent friendly features. They have really thought of everything with this stroller.
Melanie says
You have to get out to stay sane! This makes it so easy. I appreciate that there’s some attention to the parents’ needs also. I don’t have to fumble around as much because all of my stuff (phone, keys, coffee) is conveniently located.
Toni says
The light weight factor alone makes me want this! Plus, the ample storage and cup holders – win! PS: That is an adorably cute baby you have there!
Melanie says
Thanks! I have 2 steps that lead up to my house and I have no trouble getting the stroller, carseat, and baby up the stairs. Umbrella strollers are super light weight, but nowhere near as comfy for baby.
Kathleen B says
I wish I could have had something like this when my boys were little, it would have been so much esier to push.
Melanie says
Some of those strollers are impossible! This one moves so easily. 🙂
April Decheine says
She is just adorable! I haven’t shouted it out loud ye, but my daughter is just starting her second trimester so I am going to be looking for lots of baby items that I haven’t used for over.. 17 years.
Melanie says
Congratulations! Shopping for a new baby is so much fun!
Raijean says
I love, love, love Graco products! That’s all I used!
Melanie says
I’m glad you found the right products for you! This Graco is a winner also!
Cinny says
Graco is just one of those household names for strollers, isn’t it?
Melanie says
It is! There’s a reason why they’ve stuck around so long!
Jennifer @TheRebelChick says
This is such a great stroller! We were just down in the Keys this weekend and my friend with a new baby had this same stroller! It definitely handled the streets of Key West easily!
Melanie says
I think I need to take mine to Key West…or anywhere vacation-y. I saw some of your pictures on Instagram. It looks like you had a great time!
Jennifer Medeiros says
What a great looking stroller and such a beautiful girl!
Melanie says
Thank you, Jennifer!
Kelly Hutchinson says
I sure do wish they had strollers like this when my kids were little. This looks like a fantastic stroller AND Poppy is precious.
Melanie says
Is it wrong to keep having kids so I can keep shopping for baby things?
Paula @ Frosted Fingers says
Aww such a cutie pie! Is the front wheel stationary or does it turn? I have a hard time with my jogging stroller when just walking. It’s very hard to turn.
Melanie says
Great question, Paula! The front wheel swivels, which gives it great freedom to move. My 4 and 6 year olds like to push the stroller on our walks and they are often steering wildly because that front wheel moves.
Tammy says
What a fantastic stroller! Many moons ago when our daughter was an infant, we went to Europe. The stroller we brought with us was worthless on cobblestone streets, LOL! What I wouldn’t have given for a stroller like this, those wheels would have made navigating those uneven streets easy!
