Another year has come and gone and it’s already International Can-It-Forward Day again. If you’ve never heard of International Can-It-Forward Day, it is a day for new and experienced canners to celebrate home canning, with a variety of online and in-person activities. Now in its 5th year, Can-It-Forward Day will broadcast live from the new state-of-the-art Jarden Home Brands headquarters in Fishers, Indiana.
To showcase the simplicity of home canning and spotlight “Made From Here” recipes, four blogger ambassadors from across the country will share their preserving expertise during the live webcast. Viewers will also get a behind the scenes look at recipe testing and development and the science behind ensuring safety and the highest quality of all home canning recipes.
And because this is International Can-It-Forward Day, the International event also features flavors from Australian Chef Rebecca Sullivan demonstrating recipes from down under. Participating via web internationally, canners in South Africa, Australia and the UK, will also join by making and sharing their own favorite canning recipes!
And you can join in the celebration by sharing your home canning creations, tips and tricks via social media with the hashtag #canitforward.
International Can-It-Forward Day will be broadcast live online from 11AM – 4PM EST. The webcast will have an integrated chat function where viewers can submit their home canning questions to be answered in real time. New this year, there will also be an exciting celebrity mason jar auction unveiled during the webcast!
