When making smoothies for my family I love using fresh, in season ingredients. But when I don’t have any fresh ingredients on hand, frozen fruits or vegetables work too. In this recipe I actually used frozen strawberries instead of putting in a bunch of ice cubes. Depending on the liquid content of the ingredients you’re using, you may still need to add some extra liquid.
For this Berry Medley Yogurt Smoothie I used FAGE Total 0% Plain Greek yogurt that I found at Walmart with all the other better for you yogurt options. I love that smoother, thicker texture that I get with FAGE Total. In addition to using it in smoothie recipes, FAGE Total can also be used as a delicious substitute, such as replacing sour cream and mayonnaise in a recipe.
FAGE Total is an all-natural yogurt, made with only milk and live active yogurt cultures. Plus it’s packed with protein, which makes it a perfect way to start the day or when you need a mid-day pick me up!
