Mornings Made Better with Café Escapes

As many of you already know, I’m a surrogate and currently in my second trimester.  One of the things that I miss most with being pregnant is my morning dose of caffeine.  I don’t drink, I don’t smoke and caffeine is my one guilty pleasure.  But since I can’t enjoy it like I once could, I have to find other things that help to fill that void.

Cafe Escapes LogoAs a K-Cup Ambassador, I get the opportunity to try all different varieties of K-Cups and each month I look forward to the arrival of the next shipment.  My husband gets to enjoy all the coffee and I get to enjoy all the specialty drinks.  Although some of the specialty drinks do contain caffeine, it’s not nearly the amount that I would consume in a cup of coffee.

This month I received a sampler pack of Cafe Escapes K-Cups that included Café Caramel, Café Vanilla, Mocha, Milk Hot Chocolate, Milk Dark Chocolate and Chai Latte.  The first one I chose was the Milk Hot Chocolate and my husband chose the Mocha.  Within minutes of making our choices, we had a nice hot drink ready for us to enjoy.  I honestly don’t know how we ever made without our Keurig machine.  It makes enjoying a nice hot (and cold) beverage super simple and super fast.

I love the Cafe Escapes Dark Chocolate–it’s so good. I seem to have a new-found love of those flavored creamers now, so after my drink is done brewing from the Keurig, I top it off with a splash of peppermint creamer. It’s really good and comforting on a chilly morning.

Did you do it on the right setting? I know it’s a silly question but I did ours on the smallest cup setting and it was delicious and not watered down at all.

I know that the cafe escapes doesn’t have as much caffeine as regular, but do you know where I can find the exact amounts? I love the Cafe Vanilla, but don’t want to overdo it on the caffeine. I’ve searched everywhere, but haven’t been able to find the info. Thanks in advance!

      Hi Erin,

I do not know the answer to that but let me see if I can find out for you. I’ll update if I get an answer.

      All the best,

      Hi Erin,

It’s me again. Sorry for the delay in finding you an answer on the caffeine amounts. I received a response back from the company and wanted to share it with you.

Milk Chocolate: Estimated at less than 10 mg per serving.
Dark Chocolate: Estimated at less than 10 mg per serving.
Café Mocha: Estimated at less than 50 mg per serving (approximately half a cup of Arabica coffee).
Chai Latte: Estimated at less than 5 mg.
Café Caramel: Estimated at less than 20 mg per serving.
Café Vanilla: Estimated at less than10 mg per serving.

**Note: In comparison, a cup of Arabica coffee contains 100-150 mg per serving.

      I hope this helps!

Thanks so much for the caffeine info. I received my Cafe Vanilla as a gift. I figured there couldn’t be much coffee in the K-cups because the cups weighed so much less compared to a regular coffee k-cup when removed after brewing. Granted, the taste is great but in effect a person is drinking almost straight creamer. I am using mine up by combining it with a k-cup of regular coffee.
