It happens everyday. I get emails, I get phone calls, I get Facebook messages, all wanting to know how they can do what I do.
I’m sure it looks all peachy and rosy from the outside, but what goes on behind-the-scenes is sometimes more than I can handle. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thrown my hands up in the air and said “I quit!” I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent behind this computer screen wondering if anybody even cared.
I’m telling you — it isn’t always peachy and it sure isn’t always rosy!
Part of my job when working with brands is to be able to get accurate web traffic analysis. In fact, if I work with a brand, I feel it’s my responsibility to be able to provide them with stats if they are requested. I use several services for tracking stats but my two favorite services are StatCounter and Google Analytics. The best part — they are both free!
As my blog continues to grow, I feel it’s time to start researching email marketing software. I’m constantly trying to bring relevant content to my readers and supply them with not only content here on the blog but for those that have opted in, special offers from brands via email. In this economy, I’m sure we all love those special offers.
Is there anything that I can do to make Simply Being Mommy more enjoyable for you? Is there certain subjects you want more of or less of? I’d love to hear how I can make it better!

As a reader of alot of blogs I think what I see drawing folks are opinion type posts. Everyone is so different it is always interesting to see what their answers are.
I dont know if it helps/hurts as I am not a blogger but it does draw a crowd!

Thanks so much, Ellen!

You really read my mind.I was getting ready to ask you the same thing that you posted on today. But an encouragement I’ll give you is to be yourself whether blogging or not.Another thing is that whether you help anybody else it should not matter as long as you are helping me and girl you are doing that tremendously!I look forward to reading your blog as if though it was our local days paper because I get information off of your blog that I cannot get from nowhere else on the web. Thanks My Friend for doing your Blog.

We care! We care!
As of late you’ve had some pretty great opportunities, with excellent giveaways and challenges, but the thing I really appreciate about your blog is that your reviews and commentary is truthful, engaging, relative and interesting.
Crystal says
Oh, thank you so much for your kind words, Lori!

I get frustrated with blogging sometimes too and start questioning if it’s really worth it. I think taking time away from the blog and figuring out a routine that works best for you and your family is really the only way to stay happy and successful at it.
Crystal says
I definitely need to figure out a routine and schedule. That is my goal for the coming months.

If I ever come into a windfall by some odd struck of luck, I’d quit (again) in a heartbeat. It’s so much work. So much.

You have always been so helpful and encouraging to me and answered so many of my questions. You also helped me earn my first $3 on my blog.
So if you ever get discouraged, remember that what you do is not only fun to read, but is really useful.
I lubs you!!
Crystal says
Awww, thanks Lorie! You always have a way of making me feel better about things.

I’ve totally been there Crystal. Lately I just haven’t been feeling good so I’ve really been slacking on my blog but sometimes you just have to slack in order to continue with it. People who don’t have a blog like we do just don’t understand both the pressure and just how time consuming it is on the back end. So much work!
Crystal says
I’m so sorry you haven’t been feeling well! Are you okay?
And you’re right. People just don’t understand how much work goes into it.

With recipes like you post, I’m sure you’ll always be a success, even though you have some times you want to quit (don’t!)
