One of my favorite meals to eat following the Ketogenic lifestyle is chicken wings. These Spicy Jalapeno Keto Chicken Wings are pretty much everything you want them to be, y’all. Spicy, delicious, and perfectly crispy!
The RO*TEL Red Jalapeno Hot Sauce is what makes these chicken wings finger-lickin’ good. With such incredible flavor and heat, you don’t need tons of other ingredients!
The science behind the Keto diet is that when you starve your body of sugars, it’s starts burning fat for energy rather than sugars. When your body starts using fat for energy instead of sugars, you begin to burn fat which causes you to lose weight.
Are Chicken Wings Keto
The easy answer is, yes. What makes chicken wings Keto is that there are no carbs, a moderate amount of protein and lots of fat when you leave the skin on.

When eating chicken wings on the Keto diet, you do not want to remove the skin from the chicken. The goal is to get a healthy supply of fat so that your body begins using that as its fuel source.
Now that doesn’t give you the green light to eat just any type of fat. You want to keep things in proportion. Most experts recommend a diet that consists of 75% fat, 20% protein, and 5% carbohydrates.
Baked Chicken Wings
When I go out to eat, I love ordering fried, naked chicken wings. But when I’m at home, I always go for baked chicken wings. If you’d rather have fried chicken wings using this recipe, I recommend frying them first and then tossing them or just dipping them into the RO*TEL Red Jalapeno Hot Sauce.
As a home cook, I find that baking is simpler and doesn’t make as big of a mess. I’m not against frying in any way, I just don’t want to have to deal with the mess once I’m full and content. When baking chicken wings, all I have to do is throw away the parchment paper that I used for the baking sheet and I’m done! To me, that’s the best kind of clean up.
Keto Chicken Wings
Enjoying chicken wings on their own is good, but they’re even better when you add some big, bold flavors. For these Keto Chicken Wings I used the brand new RO*TEL Red Jalapeno Hot Sauce. OMG, y’all. This hot sauce offers a balanced heat with adventurous flavor. You’ll definitely be licking your fingers after eating these.
I found RO*TEL Red Jalapeno Hot Sauce on the condiments aisle at Walmart. The convenient, squeezable bottle gives you control over the pour so that you get just the right amount of bold flavor. I just love how convenient shopping at Walmart is. You can shop in store, or have your groceries brought right out to your car with their Online Grocery Service.
This Keto Chicken Wings recipe is high in protein so I would suggest adding in some healthy fats to boost your fat intake. Some suggestions are Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts, Keto Cheese Crackers, or Keto Parmesan Crisps. You can even add some RO*TEL Red Jalapeno Hot Sauce to those bacon wrapped brussels sprouts – yum! Give meal time a bold kick of RO*TEL flavor.
Since RO*TEL Hot Sauce isn’t runny, you can use it as a dipping sauce or as an ingredient in your favorite recipes.
